To Feel Love Again

What happened...?

"..."

"..."

Why did Arkyn respond so long?

Does Arumi look unattractive in Arkyn's eyes?

"Depends on you," Arkyn replied too, his tone unsure.

Great.

Turned the question to Arumi again.

'The ideal man, they said.'

"There's no way I'd start a relationship if you don't have the same feelings as me, right?" Arkyn made it clear what he meant because he saw the glint of anger in Arumi's eyes.

That is true. And start a relationship? Does that mean Arkyn really has feelings for her?

Arumi couldn't help but a small smile appeared on her lips, "Is this what I thought? You want me..."

"Yes," Arkyn answered quietly. "I've come this far. There's no turning back."

What...?

Arkyn confessed his feelings for her, but without the fiery spirit that showed what he said was true. It was as if he didn't want to fall in love with her.

'Am I not that attractive in his eyes!? Be a little happy!'

Arumi became confused about whether to be happy or annoyed, "You see me as a woman or not?" she asked sarcastically. "I feel you are insulted by what you said...!" she continued fiercely, then turned around in disgust at his face.

Mission or not, if someone confessed their feelings with a sad face like Arkyn, it was humiliation.

'He thinks he's great, and I don't. He thinks I'm lucky to have him.'

Hah!

"Arumi..."

Arumi felt Arkyn's big hand touching her shoulder, she refused to turn around to see his 'insult' face again.

Getting a strong response of refusal, Arkyn removed his hand from Arumi's shoulder and began to explain the feelings that he originally wanted to keep. He didn't expect her to protest about small things like that, "Arumi, you know we've only known each other for less than three days. This is new to me," he paused to take a deep breath. "My relationship with the previous woman ended very badly that's why I doubted myself whether I deserve to feel this again."

Arumi clearly heard the tone of worry and doubt from Arkyn's explanation. Who would have thought that he took their relationship seriously?

Arkyn's relationship with the previous woman was really bad?

Arumi just found out, the ex-lover that Arkyn told is not on the internet.

'Unless they have a secret relationship...?'

Although Arumi herself doesn't understand why the relationship is a secret, Arkyn isn't an idol or anything like that.

Beyond that, first of all, to clarify all this. Arumi turned her body again, "I understand you need time. But you also have to understand my feelings. No woman will accept you if your confession is like a tortured person...!"

However, Arkyn didn't want to admit it, "I told you my relationship..."

"That's not it!" Arumi cut in, affirming. "If you really have feelings for me, at least you smile a little."

Arkyn still doesn't agree, "When you're too broken with your previous relationship and get one more chance to feel it, obviously it takes a process to accept let alone the one that broke the relationship is yourself," he explained seriously. "At least that's how I feel. You can assume I don't think I'm serious about you, but I'm taking this seriously."

Too broken?

Arumi looked down sadly. She has been in that position, the difference is not about love, and she also thinks about whether she deserves her new life as Arumi, "We have different opinions, but I agree with you that doesn't mean mine is wrong."

Arkyn smiled slightly, "I understand what you mean too. I feel the same way when I first expressed my feelings."

Arumi is happy that they can quickly make up. One step further toward the success of her mission.

"So?"

"So?"

"How about you?" Arkyn asked awkwardly,

"Me?"

"Didn't I already answer that?" Arumi reversed the question. "You guess which one."

Arkyn repeated the sentence that came out of Arumi's lips, he was looking for the hidden meaning, and it didn't take him long to find it. Unconsciously he smiled, a pretty big smile, "Are you sure you want to?"

Arumi nodded without hesitation.

"Friend?"

Huh?

"Friend...?" Arumi repeated Arkyn's words in disbelief.

"I don't want to rush things," Arkyn admitted awkwardly.

Arumi stared intently. She thought it would be more in fact not.

'Why do I think more? My original goal was just to be friends.'

Arumi couldn't believe this, in her deepest heart, she was disappointed. She didn't want to admit it, she tried to get rid of those feelings by teasing Arkyn, "You mean you don't mind me dating other men, huh~? I'm a popular woman you know~!" she explained confidently, and smirked with satisfaction seeing his expression turn to doubt.

Come on get into the trap...!

"I'm fine."

What?

"I don't mind you being friends with other people, men include," Arkyn added simply.

Did Arumi say friends? She saying about dating!

'This man is driving me crazy.'

Arumi doesn't understand Arkyn's way of thinking at all, and this is bad, "You sound confident I'm not turning my back on you."

"You'd better turn your back on me," Arkyn says simply. "because I know I'm not ready."

Arumi patted her forehead.

This man.

"You're thinking too deep, Arkyn," Arumi commented hotly. "It's time you get out of that zone, and let yourself do what you want."

Arkyn thought about Arumi's suggestion. Do what he wants? "I'll try it later."

What? Later?

Arumi couldn't stand Arkyn's pessimistic side. She turned around again. She shouldn't be like this, anymore, but she's at the limit of her patience, she can't stand him.

'I thought tonight would end well...'

Sleep hugging.

'He really the worst.'

Arumi couldn't stand it and got up from the bed, "I want to sleep in my room."

Being in the same room with Arkyn only annoyed her.

"But about us," Arkyn protested a little.

"I didn't see us. I'm just your friend," Arumi quipped coldly. "Good night."

Arkyn didn't answer, letting Arumi out of his room.

Blam!

Arkyn took a deep breath, his head spinning again thinking about Arumi's words.

'Am I closing myself too much?'

Even the woman he likes? Arkyn is so used to rejecting women that he forgets how to make the woman he likes happy.

Blam!

Arumi slammed her bedroom door loudly. She didn't believe this. She couldn't believe Arkyn wasn't chasing after her at all.

Arkyn was a lousy guy from the start.

What is expected from him?

This hurts her pride.

Arumi looked down at her hands which were red from holding the doorknob tightly.

It really hurts.

Self-esteem and heart.

And this wouldn't be the last time she felt it. They will meet again tomorrow night. Just thinking about it already made Arumi angry.

It was an exhausting mission, and it's only been one day. One day.

"Oh...!" Arumi remembers not contacting her boss yet. She took out her cell phone, then typed the information she got. "Hope they're okay."

What bad things will happen to her friends while she's in Las Vegas?

Her cell phone vibrates.

Arumi checks it.

From: Boss

Good job as usual Arumi. Now burn your phone and don't use my credit card.

Arumi's eyes widened.
