"You okay" Nate offered her a plate with a slice of cake along with a fork beside it, princess took it and thanked him she had been having alcohol since it was a  free day to drink on duty her stomach was empty she needed it for another four hours on her research.

"Congratulations, you did a great job Nate and you deserve it" Nate smiled but only tugged on his lips.

"That's uhm Winnie my girlfriend somehow she found out from my laptop about the party" Nate continued.

"You mean she didn't know you were promoted," Princess asked forking a piece of cake into her mouth.

"She's never low-key about anything I wanted to make this about me for once without the internet getting their hands on it and then surprise her at dinner later but she was faster than I thought, hope is not weird she's here," Nate said.

"C'mon Nate don't be ridiculous, you are engaged and you sound like she wasn't supposed to be here" Princess put down the plate of cake.

"I'm just saying, I felt attacked online and  the comment section drives me nut"

"Something you should talk to her about if you think you felt attacked"

"Sure, So how is the little case any shot at it" Nate grabbed her a bottle of water, and she took it uncapping it.

"Case closed, I don't even want to talk about it," Princess said before drinking.

"Your mom told me about it, if Florence wants just you on the case is still fine but I didn't expect you to hide it from me, I was on the case technically just like you asked I didn't expect this from you"

"Because she wanted you to let it go away from the media this is not on me Nate if she doesn't trust you" Princess didn't know when she flipped the last past, it was too late for her to take it back.

"Jeez seriously she asked you to keep it away from me and you did"

-I was following instructions and you did not hear this from me She's my boss Nate, and I wanted to catch Alexis George so badly...and for the record she and I were technically on the same page"

"And I wasn't?" he asked roughly scratching his head. Princess didn't answer his question she just looked away at Winnie talking with everyone present at the party.

She didn't feel good not that she hated her or didn't want her here, maybe it was about Nate she thought, and it was weird, especially as the diamond ring sparkled.

"I'm not the mole here maybe if you still trust me you can have me wing by your place" Princess didn't say anything concerning that just in time especially moment like this watching her display the diamond ring, it was a weird feeling which she couldn't apprehend just in time Winnie came.

"I haven't met you ....Winnie" She stretched out her hand for a handshake, and Princess took it. She had heard a lot about Winnie even before they met.

"Princess" By the time the princess said her name both of their hands were off each other.
