Looking at the Quill of Fate's information, Alexander focused on two things.
First of all, it was the first time that the Fate Simulator showed a "??" message, meaning that the origin of the item was not simple at all.
Secondly, although the downside sounded terrifying, he could minimize its effect by using the item in the correct way.
In Alexander's understanding, the item was not actually 're-writing' fate, but magnifying the possibility of the written scenario happening.
For example, if a Sequence 7 was on the verge of control and Alexander wrote that he went out of control, the effect of the downside would be minimal, as the probability of that happening was huge.
Instead, if he wrote something very very unlikely to happen, even if he was simply altering the fate of an ordinary person, he may meet the Mother Tree of Desire while walking towards the law school.
Moreover, the description of the item suggested that maybe in the future, the item could be further upgraded and affect even stronger Beyonders.
The most important thing however was not that.
"If I had infinite information, I can probably create a butterfly effect to cause any enemy to die.", Alexander thought and a vague outline of a plan started to form.
With this in mind, Alexander started a simulation, with only two goals in mind: digesting the Barbarian potion and finding information about the Hunter that caused him to get hunted down before.
It may have happened in the simulation, but Alexander had already written everyone that had caused him to die in his small book, including the Evernight Goddess and Adam.
[Simulation starting...]
[3 weeks after your awakening, you have managed to become a Sequence 8 Barbarian and you possess the Red Tyrant and the Quill of Fate, further improving your power.]
[You have already put up the request, looking for the Briber formula and its characteristics.]
[A day later, someone completed your request, you get the Briber formula.]
[The afternoon, you put up a commission looking for the potion ingredients.]
[You already know that assassinating the Sequence 9 Hunter is a trap, but something insides you makes you long for revenge.]
[Instead of trying to assassinate the Hunter, you are more content with collecting more information.]
[Two days later, you've found out that he is not part of an organization, but he lives in a family of Beyonders.]
[Today, Klein descends from the Origin Castle.]
[Although you've collected enough information, you continue to spy on the family and their surroundings.]
[A week later, using the Quill of Fate to randomly meet any nearby Beyonders, you've become familiar with the nearby environment.]
[Apart from them, there lives a Lucky One and an Instigator in this part of Backlund.]
[You know that you can't collect any more information and start focusing on digesting your potion.]
[For the next two weeks, you act as a Barbarian.]
[4 days later, you feel that everything other than getting the Briber ingredients is meaningless.]
[You amplify the chances of you getting the Briber ingredients through your request.]
[That night, someone has completed your request.]
[On your way home, you happen to meet a child in a wheelchair.]
[He looks at you weirdly and asks you what you are doing.]
[Seeing your confused appearance he sighs.]
[You die.]
[Simulation ends...]
[Choose one of the following options:]
[1. Ingredients of Sequence 7 Briber's potion. Cost: 170 FP]
[2. Trait: Collector of Information. Cost: 50 FP]
[3. 30% digestion of the Barbarian potion. Cost: 100 FP]
Looking at the simulation results, Alexander couldn't help but grin.
The next evening, a middle aged man full of blood, wearing a red suit was standing in a dark alley.
Opposite to him, there was a corpse full of burns and bullets.
Sadness seemed to sweep through the man's mind, as tears started to flow in his eyes.
Coupled with the prior intense battle, he could no longer support his body and sat down.
Just as he was crying, sounds of footsteps sounded behind him.
The man's intuition as a Sequence 6 Beyonder warned him that the one who is coming is an enemy.
Feeling that he could no longer move his body, the man seemed to be able to accept death, as not only did he not struggle, but a relieved smile appeared on his face.
Suddenly, what he expected happened and a bullet passed through his brain, killing him.
Behind him, the footsteps continued to echo, before a young man with a notebook and a pen in his hands appeared.
Looking at the scene, he calmly put the notebook and the pen aside, and started looking through the corpses for their characteristics and any possible extraordinary items.
As he put the notebook down, it was illuminated by a street lamp.
If the man was to look at its contents, he would have probably dragged him to death, even if it caused him to be unable to reincarnate.
The young man was of course Alexander, who tried the Quill of Fate's power for the first time.
Looking at the notebook's contents, he sighed that the Quill of Fate was really too strong.
"Today, the Hunter and the Instigator met each other, caused by the attraction between Beyonders of adjacent pathways."
"Although the Hunter put up a fight, the Instigator still managed to win, as he was of higher Sequence."
"Just as their fight was about to end, a Lucky One stumbled upon their fight."
"Seeing them both gravely injured, he thought that this is a lucky event caused by his potion."
"Normally, even if it was a lucky event, he wouldn't have overdrawn his luck like that, but today is different!"
"He lacked the last amount of money to buy the last ingredients for his Disaster Priest promotion."
"Thinking of this, he didn't hesitate to kill them and take their characteristics."
"What he didn't notice however, was that he unknowingly left behind some of of his blood."
"Some time later, the Hunter's brother, a Provocator reached the battlefield."
"Knowing that his brother is only a Sequence 9 Beyonder and in possible danger, he used some of the blood in the scene to divine about his location."
"His cane, as an extraordinary item of the Monster pathway, pointed the way to the Lucky One."
"Meanwhile, the Lucky One, sold the characteristics and managed to buy the last ingredients needed for his Disaster Priest potion."
From then on, he could no longer manipulate him, but he didn't need to.
The Provocator was bound to meet the Lucky One, now a Disaster Priest, and get killed.
Alarmed by the disappearance of his two children, the Conspirer would attempt to track them down.
With the Disaster Priest's passive ability to encounter disasters, he was sure to meet the Conspirer.
Indeed, just as he expected, they met each other and the Conspirer managed to kill the newly promoted Disaster Priest.
Of course, the final winner was Alexander.
The Quill of Fate seemed to be overpowered, but every single event of this whole sequence of events already had a big probability of happening.
In this sequence of events, Alexander only shot a single bullet, yet his harvest was bigger than his entire Beyonder journey.
The funny thing is that the person who bought the characteristics the Lucky One sold was Alexander, as he had already expected for him to sell them to the Nemesis Order.
Two Sequence 6 characteristics, two Sequence 8 characteristics, one Sequence 9 characteristic and at least an extraordinary item.
This harvest was probably enough for him to become a Briber.
