Deceit and Desire: Betrayal

"What?" Derek loses his calm when he hears Camilla sign a personal loan with Mr. Hiratsuka to fill the gap of Project Cilla, "Are you insane?"


"Why, the terms are fair, interest rate is 10% lower than to Purly Group. And I have tagalong right's as management so it is legal." Camilla wonders, "Besides I can control this sum repaid as soon as revenue is generated. The project has no obstacles now…"


"You know nothing Camilla." Derek shouts, "Why don't you call me?"


"Mr. Hiratsuka was in tight schedule. I thought you would support me…" Camilla starts to worry. 


"Ok. Let me speak to him to see if anything could be done. I will try my best." Derek regains his calm and his voice is still a little dry, "now focus on your work and deliver the project as soon as possible, like a Pro."


When Camilla leaves, Derek's phone rings. It is Mr. Hiratsuka.


"Hello, Mr. Hiratsuka, how are you? You sound very excited."


"Yes, I am happy that the project can go ahead. Now we can proceed."


"Thank you sir. So what do you need? We just signed the contract. What else?" Derek pretends he doesn't know about the contract. 


"I told you before. It is about Camilla. She makes a personal deal with me. Didn't she take order from you to do that?" Mr. Hiratsuka is a little amused. 


"Why you do that to her? You know Project Cilla is…" Derek lowers his voice. 


"Why do you say so. Derek. You are my friend and so is Camilla." Smiles Mr. Hiratsuka, "I support her to make some money from this deal. Of course, business is business."


Derek tried hard to hide his angry: "You Fuji Wolf…"


"Hope you like Aoi and Yuko. The twins. They are really nice girls, aren't they?" Mr. Hiratsuka laughs, "Now come on Derek. Think about this. I know you are smart enough to understand this. We are always friends."


"Yeah, sure, you are my friend, Mr. Hiratsuka. But I have to tell you something. If you ever hurt Camilla again. I won't hesitate to end our friendship."


"Oh, did I hurt her? I don't think so. I said it is only business and I gave her favored terms. She knows that too."


"It is more than just business for her. She puts in her personal asset. That is why I feel unhappy. It is not fair, right?" Derek clenches his fist.


"Derek. Calm down. Don't overreact. I am sorry if she caused you any trouble. But it seems to me she acts not like your colleague, but like your lover, doesn't she?" Mr. Hiratsuka sounds sarcastic. 


Derek is silent and he puts down the phone. He knows Mr. Hiratsuka is right.
