beep beep beep
beep, beep, beep
"Uhhh," I exclaimed. When I first opened my eyes, I saw that everything was a little fuzzy.
I felt something lying on top of me. Or....someone. What?
I look up while rubbing my eyes and see...a girl, on top of me.
"Ahhh!" I yelled and attempted to push her.
"Where am I? Who are you?!" I questioned.
She shifted in sleep.
''Is that you, Rae Jin!'' I shouted when I noticed.
Her eyes were closed as she mumbled, "Yeah...."
"There was blood on you. I, uh, I got you in my house. Nothing, absolutely nothing, you told me." She whispered still eyes closed.
"So... then I... changed my clothes and then..." She paused.
"Then?" I questioned.
"...You slept...on the floor...and....then.... you...pulled me...towards you...and...I ended up sleeping." She continued and then suddenly small snores invaded the silence.
I put her on the carpet while I get up.
Omg.
"Rae Jin!" I shouted.
"Yes." She mumbled
"Nothing else happened?" I made an inquiry.
Saying, "Hmmm...yes....you kick me." What she actually said.
Off! Nothing.
After waking up, I realized I was in her home.
Hmm...fancy.
"That's bizarre. Tell me properly!" My voice sounded frantic as I yelled.
"You drunken idiot, you ended up getting punched in the face. I had to come to your rescue, and then you won't even give me your place address. I not only welcomed you in but also warned you. Ok? Do not come back and accuse me; I warned you. I had to sleep on the floor since you seized me against my will. I have the right to sue you,...my night ruined." While stroking her neck, she exclaimed.
"Yikes! My neck! Sleeping on the hard floor caused it to break." And again, she shrieked.
"What? What a terrible thing to do. Please accept my apologies. Sorry.''
"Yeah, you should be." She called back as she was entering the kitchen.
Nice... house, I remarked as I looked about.
"I know, I am so awesome." She complimented herself while drinking water.
"Omg! I have to go to work!" She worried while dropping the glass in the sink.
"It's Saturday," I answered.
She halted abruptly, saying.
"Ohhhh..."
''Should I go?"
'' I'm not sure if it's disrespectful to kick someone out first thing in the morning.'' Asked she.
"Maybe...but I'll get going," I said while removing my jacket from the couch.
"Is that really the case? Do you want some medications to help with your hangover?" She yawned and asked as I gaped at her.
''Hello?'' she said.
"Yes!" I answered.
"Are you sure?"
"Yup,...then I guess that means we'll have to part ways. Sorry for the trouble." As I was leaving, I uttered an apology.
''Things happen, and that's okay.'' She said while flashing a little smile.
Smile? Was there a smile on her face?
''Was I so drunk that I did something embarrassing? Scratching my neck, I enquired
"No, you were okay. Also, I was wondering if everything was alright with you. I don't want to intrude or anything, but.... are you okay?" Her question was one of worry.
As she asked, my heart ached. Why? What is her aim for asking? I'm not okay, I want to tell her desperately. Not all right.
I responded, "I am... okay."
"Here is the money you dropped," she said. She stated this while looking everywhere in the room but directly at me.
What, money?
When I counted the cash, I found that there was more of it than I had thought. That's not right, this is not my cash. It belongs to her, in a sense.
Why?
"I seriously doubt it."
"No, all of it belongs to you. Your money is not something I want." She says, and she so firmly hands me.
I fix my eyes on her. Why? Just how does she know that I'm having... financial difficulties?
''Simply take it and go.'' She spoke.
With a broad grin on my lips, I said,"Okay...then...goodbye...and....thank you very much."
I realized she was staring at me attentively, her eyes holding something back...
"Sure, why not. That works out just nicely." She smiled at me again and opened the door.
"Bye-bye, see you soon?" I'll be leaving you with those words.
"Yup...bye." With the same expression back on her face, she repeats, and this time I go.
I left.
The heck just occurred.
wow.
