Tao plopped down beside me as Mia pushed him down in the seat. His eyes were expressive, showing his flabbergasted state that he was in as Mia continued to bombard him with questions.
"So how are you? Why weren't you answering our calls and messages? Did you change you number? Are you alright after...you know..?" Mia started to calm down after Tao shifted uncomfortably in his seat at the mention of the 'incident'. He finally snapped out of whatever shock he was going through and eyed Mia, clearly not happy that it was brought up.
"Mia..." Tao mumbled. "Could we not talk about it...right now?"
"..Right, sorry," Mia apologized as she saw how sad Tao seemed. "But still...you suddenly stopped talking to us, I've just been...worried." It was awkward for a while as silence grew with the tension. I munched down on my food as I tried not to make eye contact with Tao who was clearly uncomfortable.
"S-So Y/N, do you have an idea of what club you want to join?" Andrew broke the tension by moving back to the topic of the club fair.
"Um...well..honestly not really. I mean your club sounds nice but...I don't know if that's for me," I rubbed the back of my neck awkwardly as I admit to not really knowing what I want to join. "Honestly I asked because I didn't want to join a club we're I didn't know anybody."
"I-I can join a club with you!" Ronnie suddenly shouted as he almost slammed his cup down and started to choke on his water. "Honestly I'm f-fine with whatever, as long as we are together I don't mind."
"Ha I was going to say something similar just then." I laughed as I tried to reach over and pay Ronnie's back so the water he was choking on would go down the right tube.
'Heck yeah! Choking on water was worth it!' Ronnie thought to himself as he made his score.
"How about photography? Im pretty sure Ronnie is good at taking pictures anyway, the club is running low on members so..." Tao commented as he lowered his mask to drink some water, keeping his eyes on his tray as he fidgeted with his fingers. "I mean that's probably stupid, you...probably wouldn't want to join." Tao lifted up his mask again and stared at his tray.
"Hey! Can you get me a spot then? I can't sign up at the fair today, but I definitely want to join!" Mia nagged as she finally started talking again.
"I'll see what I can do, it shouldn't be that hard." Tao glanced up at Mia as his eyes seemed to light up.
"Well let me have you number so we can stay in touch then." Mia suggested as she whipped hers out. Tao did the same starting the cycle of the number exchange.
"Wait a minute, y/n I don't have you number either!" Mia came to the realization as she looked through her contacts. "Gimme." Mia demanded as she grabbed at the air, motioning for me to give her the phone.
"C-Can I have your number too? You know so we can talk and stuff?" Ronnie also asked as he saw how I was handing Mia my phone.
"Sure why not?" I agreed, letting Ronnie grab my phone after Mia finished typing in her number.
"Why don't we all make a group chat?" Andrew suggested. "You know after what happened to the last one."
"Alright, I'll make it," Mia beamed as she busied away on her phone. "I have everyone's number anyways." The group was buzzing in excitement as we all finally have a way to contact one another after all this time. Mia was still busy creating the group as Andrew also tried to catch up with Tao. Looking down at my phone I see how the two added in their contacts.
Ronnie (0w0)
BFF (Mia) :3
I had to laugh at Ronnie's, who knew he could be so cute? But I'm happy that he seemed excited for the fair today and the fact he wanted to be in the same club as me, it was comforting to know I won't be alone.
"Oi, what are you lot doing?" An angry, unfamiliar voice calls out. The group looks up at the boy who yelled at us and which caused me to flinch. It was the black haired boy from the morning class.
'Shit, not you.' I swore in my head as his red eyes met mine. Quickly I avoided his gaze and shifted uncomfortably in my seat.
Mia's eyes flash in recognition of the boy as Andrews eyes flick back and forth between me and the boy briefly.
"We were just sitting here," Mia started as she looked at the boy. "Eating lunch."
Collectively the group all thought the same sarcastic thing at that moment. 'Wow... wasn't that smooth?'
Anger and annoyance flashed in the boys eyes as Mia continued to stare him down. "This is my corner, so beat it." He coldy spat as he stared Mia down.
Mia's eyes seemed to say "Oh you wanna go, punk!?" As she balded her fists.
'Yeah this isn't going to end well.' I thought to myself, but before I could do anything, Andrew grabbed Mia's shoulders.
"H-Hey now, we can move. It's almost the end of lunch anyways and we need to get going." Mia didn't relax her tense muscles but instead just backed off as she stood up, with tray in hand, and turned her head away with a huff.
"Fine," Mia bitterly surrendered. "you got off easy, but that doesn't mean anything." As Mia began to storm off the boy focused his attention on the rest of the group, who were still seated. As he eyed us my nerves came back as my legs felt wobbly.
"Yup! Time to go!" I said my thought out loud before I shut my mouth tightly, ignoring how intensely the black haired boy was staring. I picked up my tray and looked over at Ronnie with pleading eyes, so he can leave quickly with me.
Ronnie was staring at the punk, from the weird looks Mia and Andrew gave to how y/n was acting this must be the punk they were talking about earlier. I mean, he kind of was handsome but that wasn't the problem anymore, it was who he was that served as the problem. 'Shit. Don't tell me my brother hired them again! I hoped we never have to deal with them again, especially after what he did to Tao. But I guess Ethan wasn't the only one who was going to be a pest. Why must all these problems show up when I'm trying to be happy!'
That's when Mia suddenly stormed off and y/n looked at Ronnie with scared puppy dog eyes. 'Wait...What does she want me to do!? I mean I can't do much right now...fuck it, I'm her knight, her hero, her guardian! There isn't anything I can't do! Especially if she is depending on me.'
As I started to stand up and wait for Ronnie, Ronnie puffed out his chest and grabbed my wrist. I panicked at the suddenness of his actions before worry as I saw how he was acting. 'No, what are you doing? Let's just leave!' I grabbed his wrist and stared into his eyes when he looked at me. I shook my head, signaling that 'no, don't do anything stupid' look. Ronnie gave me a smile as patted my hand with his free one, reassuringly. He gave me a 'I got this look' before turning to face the black haired boy who was watching us with a confused and annoyed look on his face.
'Don't worry y/n, I can protect you!' Ronnie thought to himself as he patted her hand, trying to comfort her. Clearly she was scared, but I can do something about this. Ronnie mustered up the courage to face his foe.
But sadly before the knight could protect his princess, the princess saw the bullshit that was about to happen and quickly tried to stop the prince before the monster could beat his ass.
'Ronnie you are not about to try and fight a built gang-member looking guy and live.' Y/N shook her head and yanked at Ronnie's wrist as she signaled to Tao to get moving. She was slightly shaking as she turned to the scary looking boy. His red eyes burned holes in her as she tried to smile.
"H-Hey, s-sorry about being in your way. We'll be leaving now." Y/N awkwardly waved a goodbye as she tripped over her two left feet before dragging away Ronnie. Tao fallowed swiftly behind the two, leaving Jarah alone. Jarah couldn't help but become a bit puzzled at the strange interaction.
The one annoying bitch tried to fight him when her boyfriend stopped her, then still threaten me before leaving. After that that annoying little twig got ready to throw hands, even after what had just happened with the bitch. Even if that was a potential client I would still be at the shit out of him if he was asking for it. Then that little bunny..she was so scared the entire time. That bunny stopped the twing and even got that dumb little urchin to finally stop staring and move.
'But her smile was cute.'
That thought made Jarah freeze as a shiver ran up his spine. Did...did he think that girl..was cute!? No, it couldn't be. People were not cute, they were fucking idiots that were shallow and greedy. But that little bunny..
"The fuck?" Jarah questioned allowed as he remembered her scared little eyes and how wide they were as they looked at him. He rubbed the bridge of his nose in annoyance and anger. Why did he think of that? Why was she like a bunny in his eyes?
