"Okay then let's talk" I said my mate smiled with joy "ok then tell me a little about your self"

My mate said it like he was truthful "uh well I'm Layla rivers as you know and Im the daughter of Zane rivers and Bella rivers my parents as you know, I've went to school and am top of my classes with A++s all across the board my hobbies are drawing, sleeping, games and nature" i said with a smile at the end my mate nodded and opened his mouth "well I'm raider moon of the shadow tooth pack and I'm a decent student and my hobbies are hunting, exercise, games, reading and writing" he said with a smile as well

"What do you wanna talk about now" I asked and he paused "I don't know" he answered he lied "ALPHA MOON! you just lied to me" I said with venom laced words "sorry fine okay Jesus, do you wanna keep going in school or do you want to become my Luna immediately" he said and he breathed easier almost as if he wanted to ask that immediately

"Oh shit I got meet your dad in 10 minutes…and he wants you to come with" my mate said and I hopped off the bed and followed him to the office

My dad sat in his chair holding his cane with both hands on top, next to him sat my mother and on the other side of him sat my brother dean

And in the middle we're six chairs three on each side, one sat our elder another sat my uncle or our general another sat his mate our head of medical

On the other sat three heads I didn't know

"Hey dad, mom, sister" my mate didn't say that with love he didn't like his sister I assume

All through the meeting I spaced out, then raiders sister kept glaring at me with the meanest look

Her purple white hair and her amber red eyes shot fire into my soul she didn't like me for some reason

Then raiders dad spoke "well I assure you that my son can care for your daughter ten fold" he said softly "ALPHA BRAYDEN that isn't my concern it's your pack having leverage over mine" my father yelled "why are you yelling at me" Brayden said "BECAUSE our packs have been at war for two decades now and this is what shall fix it" my father scoffed "okay what do you want then out of this" alpha moon said " I want you to fully accept the agreement I offered" my father said "I'm not giving you 25% of my land for your daughter and my son to be happily mated" the alpha said with authority

"Then no future for the shadow tooth pack" my father bestowed "look how about this we stop the fighting we retract our soldiers our medical field hospitals our general military on all fronts and open up the borders of both our packs" raiders father said softly and I saw my father fight with himself before he stood

"Retract the troops open the borders and retract the military field hospitals" he said and walked out of the room my mom following shortly and dean kept glaring at raider while raiders sister wouldn't stop glaring at me

"Alpha are you alright" the women next to alpha Brayden spoke softly almost to soft she was bright her blonde hair silver blue eyes, her pale skin she was almost too beautiful

I envied that "yes Ava i am thanks" alpha Brayden said with a relieved breathe

"Ok well I'll go retract the troops you know what to do" my uncle said "yeah I do" my aunt said

"I'll be going" the elder said

"Well welcome to shadow tooth kayla" alpha Brayden said with a soft tone "thank you, alpha" i said "oh I'm not gunna be alpha much longer" he said with a almost old shaky voice then I look at raider who seemed down

I grab his hand and drag him out of the room "what" he asked "what's wrong" I asked "nothing I'm just a little down" he said with almost no life "no what's going on" i said "my father is going to step down I take over and when he steps down he will die in about 2 months " raider said "why" I asked "he's old he is about 65-70" he said "how old is your mom" I asked "she's about 60" he said with a eyebrow lifted "how old are you" I asked "I'm 19" he said it with a confused look

"How long have your parents been mates" I asked "well let's see my mom and dad started at about when my mom was 18 my dad was 28 when they started so about 60 years" I let out relieved sigh

"How is your mom that beautiful" I asked "I don't know she doesn't tell us" i then looked at him "why is your father gunna die " I asked "he has silver laced around his heart" raider said my heart sank

Alpha Brayden had black hair with white strands and red eyes he looked so nice and kind but he didn't have to die

"I don't want him to go but he is in pain and since he bred with my mom we don't have the silver lacing because well we weren't captured and tortured, but my mom has been hurting more since she feels his pain physical and emotional etc…..she will die as well from the loss of a mate and extreme pain that her heart will feel" raiders eyes were stinging with tears and I noticed it

I looked at his mom who rested her head on Brayden's shoulder and Brayden rested his head on his mates

I walked back in "i am proud to be the Luna of the shadow tooth pack" i said and Brayden smiled kindly.

"Welcome aboard" Ava said and shut her eyes resting on her mates shoulder "Ava let's get you home your tired" Brayden said helping Ava to her feet then i noticed something she is almost perfect everywhere but she is also very fragile

Raiders sister looked at me then helped her mom Ava wasn't crippled she was amazingly heathly and all but she seemed to have trouble with something

"Raider what's with your mom "I whispered "she is very fragile so her body can harm its self but she is one of our strongest wolves in the pack" raider said "but she is weaker right " i said "yes but no she can tear a entire army in half by her self it's that she needs her wolf to keep healing constantly so when she was tired she was healing her heart from the punishment my dads has"

And after that all I remember was going to the shadow tooth pack territory and we passed so many red fang military trucks bikes and soldiers

When we arrived at my new home it was dark out i inched closer to raider while walking to the house, "okay well it's late you two get some rest" Ava said to me and raider and we walked up to his room and when we opened it. it was amazing to me the size

"Kayla feel free to do anything" raider said laying down in the bed and I swore 5 seconds later he was asleep but he seemed stressed so I crawled into bed with him and felt him slide his arm across my waist I slowly dozed off and fell into the abyss of sleep
