"I'll give you a choice: Number one, I take off my mask and you get to see my face and suffer the consequences. Number two, I walk away now and you never get to see me again. What number will it be, pretty boy?" 

"Number one." Dex didn't think about the threatening clause behind the first option as he quickly made his choice.

"Hmm... Is that your final answer?" Phoenix walked back to him and stared directly into his eyes. "Because, once I take off my mask, there's no going back. You will be in for a long and bumpy ride."

"Take it off..." Dex reiterates, sounding like he was referring to something else than the mask. He eyes glinted with deep longing as he gazed in her glimmering eyes.

Dex clenched his left fist in rage.

"Does this little birdie manage a boutique in town?" Dex asked, his voice laced with fury. He knew that the only person responsible for this gossip was Gail. She was the only person who saw him the night he visited her boutique with Phoenix.

"Come on brother, you don't have to be uptight. It doesn't matter who told me. What matters is that my brother was captured with a girl after a long time. I'm so eager to meet this girl who seems to have captured your frigid heart, even though Ashley remains my best choice for you. How about you bring her over when you're coming to the party? Mum and Dad will be attending and it's going to be a beautiful family get-together."

Dex's phone started vibrating indicating that he had another incoming call.

"Phoenix!" Dex's eyes brightened and his sour countenance quickly turned into euphoria.

"Who is Phoenix?" Diana asked from the other end.
