In an AU version of Worm. In this AU, Riley (Bonesaw) triggered with the QA bug controlling power while her parents were being tortured. She managed to kill Jack Slash with a few thousand angry wasps that nested nearby (there isn't a lot of fancy footwork the Broadcast shard can do when several thousand wasps swarm you while you're inside a building.)
Other than that, Taylor's life proceeds as normal and she triggered in the locker starting to get Bonesaw's original power, however at the same time she swapped places with a version of Taylor Hebert who was living, somehow, in the CP2077 universe, circa 2062. The CP2077 universe isn't one of the alternate Earth's the Entity's have access to or are imperiling, so the Shard wasn't completely transferred along with Taylor to CP2077. She ended up with mostly a Thinker power with encyclopedic knowledge of medicine, but it included some Tinker elements, but since the power level of the Shard is not quite there in this new universe, it cannot perform the usual Tinker-tech miracles. It can do some implausible things, but mostly anything she creates will have to be at least sort of possible.
I'm also bad at naming things, so the name of the story might be subject to change.
Great work, my favourite fanfic of this year so far, can't wait when we get to 70s. P.S I hope there will be a female V in this story though.
Best cyberpunk story outhere. Only problem is the lack of "cyberpunk" tag, making the story hard to find for any fan of the universe. It would bring more reader to add cover picture too ;)
So far it's a awesome start to the novel(ch.3) and if it's anything like the author's other novel it will be good
At first I was against reading it because it mentioned Worm, which I am not too familiar with. However, previous Worm knowledge does not seem that important. You just need to know that Worm world is a modern (dark-ish?) one with superheroes and villains. As for cyberpunk, world, I would say that you could probably enjoy it even if you are not familiar with the video game or the anime series( I haven't watched it myself although I have an idea of what happens), but you might be a bit lost with some references and characters. Also, I was postponing reading it because I thought that there were not many chapters available. But chapters here are quite long compared to most online novels. As of chapter 51, I think you could consider that we are in a third or fourth "arc", and all of them have been enjoyable for me. All characters feel diverse, believable and interesting so far. I would classify the protagonist as a good person, which adapts to her new world, so don't expect a psycho, neither a saint. If I wanted to nitpick anything, I would say that in at least in one case, I thought the protagonist was thinking too much in the middle of a dialogue, but perhaps it was just me anxiously wanting to know what was going to happen, since I was binge reading, who knows. If I wanted to nitpick a lot, a couple of instances of made up incorrect Spanish expressions bother me a bit, because I think it should be easy nowadays to write something that makes sense. Also, there are minor spelling issues here and there that I think should not be hard to fix. Again, not any of these made the reading less enjoyable to me. TL;DR. Totally recommended. Really well written long chapters. No need to know about Worm, but some knowledge of Cyberpunk will make it more enjoyable.
It's great and I recommend reading it. Just the first couple of chapters should easily be enough to prove the high quality of the story. ......
Fantastic story and it's in the Cyberpunk 2077 world. Super rare to find a good one of these. I don't normally like non-SI stories b/c if it's not a character insert with metaknowledge then the story usually follows the plot which is incredibly boring. Luckily this is awesome and explores the world while having cameos of characters thrown in. 100% recommend.
Mainly reading this story on SV but wanted to vote here. Just phenomenal story.. the one I'm looking forward to seeing updated the most. Love the world building as well as the fact that Taylor is true to her portrayal in the original web series. Keep up the great work!
are you taking a break or has this been dropped.
started reading after I read the fallout one I got caught up and was sad so I clicked on the author tag and clicked from there and my God I love this just as much wish you updated more but you write pretty big chapters I just would like more chapters

One of the best fics that I've read. I also recommend watching her other fic in SB and SV. I don't know what to add to make it possible to review but I really recommend it.
