Kira walked to her class to revise before the commencement of the examination.

She was studying business administration at one of the best universities in the country.

Though she's sponsoring herself to school.

Everyone inhaled her perfume as she walked in, all eyes were on her.

Her beautiful obsidian lustrous eyes roamed the class, there was something about that eyes of hers.

It was sharp but it showed mystery and an unusual calmness.

Kira's seat was on the second to the last row.

She sat and placed her headphones in her ears before staring at her book.

Anyone looking at her would think she was just staring at her book, not studying.

Kira wasn't scared of the exam even though she didn't attend school frequently this semester.

Scarlet, from the last row, gazed at Kira's back view.

Aren't you going to read? The person you are staring at has read" Scarlet's friend voiced.

It was time for the exam and they all walked to the exam hall.

Kira came in late and sat in the last row, everyone was nervous but she maintained her usual calmness.

The papers were passed to everyone and they all started working.

Kira looked at the papers like they were pop, she picked up her pen and began writing.

After about fifteen minutes, Kira stood up to submit.

The invigilator was shocked as hell, it was her first time invigilating Kira's class.

Ma'am, I hope you are aware that I do all my exams in a day?" That coldness could be felt by everyone.

Kira manages to finish her exams in a day due to her busy schedule.

Her lecturers and course mates asks her why she decided to study Business Administration instead of going to a fashion school or makeup school but she ignores the question always.

It was only Nathan, her black American friends, and her paternal grandparents that was aware of her studying business administration.

The invigilator didn't want to do it but she had no choice.

She handed the papers to Kira "Two papers are missing, it hasn't been printed yet".

Kira ignored her statement and went back to her seat.

She would have to come tomorrow for the last two papers.

Kira had to go to the agency the next day because she missed the orientation and Doctor Rony would have been bored.

In an hour, Kira finished and submitted before leaving the exam hall.

Kira went back home because she knew that her stepmom, Helena, wouldn't be home.

Kira, you are back early?" Viona was surprised.

Kira comes home very late at night, sometimes, she doesn't come home for a month.

But no one cares about her anyways, she was given freedom after her mom's funeral.

Kira's story was a very complicated one which Viona found hard to explain.

For years now, Kira has never asked about what happened to her mom.

Kira nodded "I will have lunch".

She then walked to her room and laid on her bed.

Kira never felt jealous of Mia, her stepsister, even though her father handed his company over to her.

They all taught that Kira was in a fashion institute, studying fashion.

Kira never minded how her father treated her for once after what he did the day her mom died.

Kira heard a knock "Come in" she said as she sat upright on her bed.

Scarlet walked in and served Kira's food on the study table.

What's your name?" Kira questioned.

I'm Scarlet".

Why are you here?

To serve your food" Scarlet bowed.

Obviously, I know that... what are you doing in my house? Why did you come to work here?" Kira raised her voice slightly.

I was in search of a job and saw a post online that you needed a maid, so I applied".

"Don't use the word "you". I wasn't the one in need of a maid" Kira blinked coldly.

Or...have you worked for me since you got to this house?".

No".

You don't look like a maid, who are you?" Kira was bent on finding the truth.

My parents were rich before they died five months ago but his mistress sent my brother and I out of the house" Through Scarlet's voice, Kira could sense that she was telling the truth.

Scarlet began to cry, it was obvious that she was weak-hearted.

Kira's expression still didn't change even though she knew Scarlet was telling the truth.
