Chapter 23

Where's the model?" Albert Mertain questioned in a confused state.

Everyone in the fashion industry knew Kira to be very pleasant yet cold.

She wasn't proud yet she wasn't also humble.

They had to work hard to reach her because of her efficiency and popularity.

Everyone respected and loved her because she also respects everyone. Not in her words or attitude but in her smile and professionalism.

I'm so sorry sir, she couldn't make it today" Nathan apologized sincerely.

Albert took a sip from his wine "She's needed here. How would she sign the papers?".

"How about I take the papers along with me and make her sign them?" Nathan smiled awkwardly.

Everyone knew it was impossible for him to take the papers but Albert needed her endorsement urgently.

They have a recent competitor and their sales were dropping rapidly.

Albert nodded and signaled to the man next to him to bring the documents.

"She should read the terms and conditions, then sign them. Please we need feedback as soon as possible" Albert stood up to leave.

Nathan tailed Albert as he walked out of the office.

Kira was indeed something. He wondered if she was even concerned about her career.

No one in her family knew she was a supermodel because the television was always switched off in their house and they never tried to search for things like that on their phones.

They thought she was useless and worthless.

He knew that her father was concerned about her deep down but couldn't show it and Kira wasn't even helping matters.

She has been treated as an outcast since he met her. Their family was complicated and confusing.

It was like three against one but that one is like five hundred. She has never lost in a tongue battle before.

Kira knew nothing about buying groceries and other stuffs.

She herself wonders how she grew up without knowing stuffs like that.

Kira was once interested in anything that had to do with the kitchen but she stopped when her stepmom, Helena, started treating her like one of the maids.

It annoyed her so she stopped going to the kitchen.

Kira followed him silently. She had to wear a face cap so they would not recognize her.

"Kira, should I buy noodles?" Rony started a conversation on purpose because if he doesn't, she won't even look at him.

It was only once since he met her that she has ever opened up to him with tears.

It was an unforgettable experience.

Kira raised her brows "I hope you aren't buying it because you want me to cook it?".

She hated cooking more than anything now and it was all Helena's fault" Rony muttered.

Hey" Someone tapped Kira from behind.

She turned around to see the individual and saw a young beautiful girl.

Kira hated children so she just smirked and bent to her level.

"What do you want?" Kira pretended to be nice because anyone could recognize her there.

"My mom asked me to wait for her and I haven't seen her yet" The little girl wailed.

What the heck is this!! How does that have to do with me??.

Kira stared at her without pity "I don't know where your mom is, maybe you should ask another person".

Rony heard the conversation but expected Kira to be nice to the little girl.

He knew she hated children but at least she should pretend.

"Let's go look for your mom, little girl" Rony smiled as he took the girl's hand.

Rony eyed Kira because she was just so heartless. Though, he couldn't blame her because she has gone through a lot.

Kira rolled her eyes and wheeled the trolley to the counter. She saw as he took the child to a woman but she cared less.

After she paid for the groceries, she went to the car and waited for Rony to arrive.

This is so crazy, why does he care so much about a little fellow?

Kira, when are you coming back home? I brought the documents with me" Nathan sent a message to Kira because she wasn't picking up his calls.

She makes me feel so pathetic but she's just too cute to get angry at.

Only he felt that she looked cute. Kira was cold, harsh, and heartless.

Her face was always tight and he rarely saw her smile.

The day he saw her smile wholeheartedly was when her black American friends came over for the first time.

She didn't introduce him to them but he was glad that she had friends that could make her laugh even though it makes him jealous.
