From a snow to desert

"This is unbelievable." Even Myrene who was almost never fazed by anything was a little giddy at the moment. He had heard tons of things about TARDIS but now looking at the 3D hologram, she too was amazed.

"Is TARDIS in stealth mode?"

"Of course, it's camouflaged." Sigret replied with a hint of pride.

She had mastered this awesome flying machine and would probably be its pilot forever. Of course she wouldn't go anywhere without the Robin's permission but in the end she was the one who could take Robin and her friends to places.

Robin wasn't bothered with Sigret's pride and put on the blue armor of Blue Beetle. With that he took a step outside of the door only to feel a gust of hot air right in his face. He was wearing the suit but it let him feel the ambient temperature. He also noticed that he had heightened senses now, which he could fine tune to whatver sensitivity he wanted. Heightened senses weren't always good as it meant that his brain might receive more information than he would be able to process. Plus another downside being able to sense is that sometimes if you got hurt, then it would be more painful as well. So in the end all those powers might look fancy in the beginning but in reality it might be a totally opposite case.

After Robin stepped out, Sigret and Myrene came out after wearing their battle armor. Myrene had put up a total black mask that covered her hair too. She didn't need to wear a mask that had holes in them to see with her eyes as she used a visor from the get go.Sigret took a totally different approach. She changed her face and even her hair color had changed to a regular brunette.

"You could always do that?"

"Of course. I am an android that could change the gender too if you prefer."

"I am fine with what you look like."

Robin didn't really care how she looked but it couldn't be denied that he liked the little ego boost he gets when someone would look at him with a face that screamed 'how lucky is this guy?' or 'how rich is this guy?'.Who didn't like a good ego boost?

"Shall we?" Myrene asked as he was impatient to try her hands on the lightsaber.

"We can but you both are not allowed to take a step until the situation gets out of control."

Myrene and Sigret nodded. The place where they had stepped in was an old little building and it's age was evident from the fact that the rooftop wasn't in the best condition. The town was small and from their place they could see the glittering city of Cairo.

They were quite distance away from the main city and this place had a lesser number of lights per square meter. But it was also due to the fact that it was very late at night and everybody was supposedly sleeping at this time.

Robin's eyes lit up in blue light out of nowhere. Like Superman, Blue Beetle could also use X-ray type vision to look beyond walls. He looked under his feet to see if they were in the correct location and for reconnaissance.

He saw 12 men scattered on two floors.

Some eight men on the top floor and four on the ground floor. And apart from that there were two dogs. One man on the ground floor was sitting in a chair, half asleep. This person probably was the sentry while the rest were fast asleep.

"How come everyone is together in the same place today? Don't they have families?"

"They are supposed to attack tomorrow night and the leader of this group is very strict and wants everybody to spend the day together making plans. This would be the first major attack on a group of foreigners after a very long time and they would have to make sure not to look at it like a coordinated attack in the cameras and more like an attack against the western establishment."

"Seems like they have thought it out well. Pity that it would never come to fruition." Robin was quite confident that everything would be fine and he had all the rights to feel so. Since there were dogs on the ground floor it was better to take care of them in the beginning.

"RAAN MIR TAH" (Animal allegiance)

He used these simple words of power to silence the dogs in the ground floor who had started waking up after smelling intruders. He also did it to make sure that these dogs would be his allies in this attack.

Without wasting any time, Robin and the girl duo went downstairs through the narrow staircase and reached the top floor. There were a couple of chairs and a table. The eight men were scattered in two rooms and were sleeping on the floor.

The room was quite spacious but only had a single window, which was closed. They slept on thick rugs that served as their mattress.

Robin saw these sleeping bums and kicked one person. The kick was quite a heavy one and the guy woke up with a start and gave a loud shout. Robin didn't want to wake the neighbours so he punched the guy on his face.

But this was enough noise to wake everyone rlse in the room and also the four men on the ground floor. Everyone rushed to the top floor. The men who were already sleeping in the room from before stood up in seconds.

The men here were trained and rushed to Robin immediately. At first they were a little disoriented seeding the three extra people in their room two of them wearing western outfits and one wearing a very weird suit but it didn't matter to them.

'Act first, talk later.' or rather 'Hit first, ask questions later'.This was their way.

The men at first rushed to Robin and threw punches and kicks which were responded to with a violent counterattack. Robin glided through the attacks like a pro and retaliated just like someone come out of a Hong Kong movie. Robin delivered kicks and punches at their most vulnerable places. Each attack made their bodies convulse and groan in pain. Robin also made sure that each attack would cause them to fall down and not scream like the first person. He had made a big mistake by waking the first one up. After all, he lacked experience in the field and he needed to learn more about stealth.

By this time, the men from the ground floor had come up with their sharp blades. They were already horrified to see the eight men lying on the floor, groaning in pain. The leader was also among the four men and stopped his subordinates in taking any more steps.

This person just came out of nowhere on the top floor, took out eight of his finest men and wore a very weird blue and black suit. And on top of that he had brought two women with him. He was either a fool or someone who had everything in his palm of his hands. And judging from the state his men were in it was definitely the latter.

He never believed in movie action spectacles but the eight men on the floor would argue otherwise.

"Who are you?" The leader spoke while commanding his men to stand down. They wanted to talk but he didn't let them. The leader and his men wore the traditional Egyptian clothing known as dishdasha, only his color was different from others. The leader spoke in Arabic and Robin only understood what he said because of the Blue Beetle.

"Omari Mostafa, 32 years of age, born and raised on the streets of Cairo, leader of this small gang, responsible for murdering two children for money, involved in illegal alcohol trafficking in the country, deals with forced prostitution and also responsible for having quite a reputation for domestic violence on your wife in front of your two young boys. You have had quite the life. Haven't you?"

It was Sigret who answered as Robin couldn't speak Arabic. The more Sigret spoke,Omari's body language changed froman aggressive stance to a horrified a d furious one. His eyes went wide, the cheek which was visible under his thick beard flared up and he clenched his fists. Never had he felt naked in front of someone before.

It was fine that these new people knew of his illegal alcohol trafficking and even the prostitution. But the murder of children was what had been a dark secret all his life. He was once in a very desperate situation and in order to get out he got mixed with terrible people. The only way out at that time was killing two children who belonged to a particularly rich couple. So he took the assignment. But money wasn't all that came with that assignment. He got mixed with more and more crimes as time passed and now here he was, leading a small team which received orders from the same person who had hired him to kill the children long ago.

But this truth was known only by two people, he who killed the children and the person who commissioned this heinous act.The Police never found any evidence against him and thel case had gone cold long ago. But today out of nowhere everything came to light with just a few words from a random western woman who had welcomed herself to his den.
