And on cue Danilo tried to put one of the forty candles on my cake in his mouth but I was quick to grab it from his tiny hand.

"Senhor, tenha piedade deste menino," I loudly laughed as I kissed his cheeks as he and Daniele sat on lap as Bobby had his arms wrapped around my shoulders as he stood behind me singing loudly. (Lord, have mercy on this boy.)

"Blow out your candles," Pedro beamed like a proud father as he took so many pictures of me all I could see was the flash of the camera.

I closed my eyes and blew them out before kissing the cheeks of my laughing boys. I placed them down and they were quick to run off before I could stand up. "Thank you meu coração," I wrapped my arms around Bobby to give him a kiss.

"Anything for you old man," he laughed, "You make forty look good."
