The Contest Pt. 3
Noran put names into a bowl so he could choose the teams without any bias.
"The first team is Issac and Dream" Noran announced and Issac and Dream moved to stand together;
"The second team is Nala and Bella!" Noran shouted as Nala and Bella stood together.
"The third team is Ashley and Jace. The fourth team is June and Roxy" Noran announced while giving June a side look for choosing Roxy as her partner. Jace and Ashley stood together while June called Roxy to join her in the camp; the crowd gasped as Roxy stood next to June,
"This is Roxy" June said to the other contenders
"She won't hurt you unless I say so" June explained as some of the challengers looked at Roxy with fear in their eyes,
"If you say so," Nala said as she waited for Noran to announce the first battle.
"Team two and three will be the first battle" Noran announced and the crowd cheered, Nala and Bella high-fived as they walked onto the battlefield, and Ashley and Jace nodded to each other as they stood in their battle spots.
"Ready?" Noran called out and the teams nodded in response,
"Then begin!" Noran shouted. Bella crouched down as Nala turned her necklace into a whip; Jace drew his sword and Ashley drew her dagger, Jace stood in front of Ashley as they moved towards the whip. Nala slashed her whip at Jace, who knocked Nala's whip away from Ashley and him,
"Nala get your act together," Bella said as she stood up; Nala rolled her eyes and shrank her necklace into a sword. Bella went for Jace and Nala went for Ashley, but Jace and Ashley were ready. Jace was the first to strike, which caused Bella to knock into Nala,
"Bella" Nala said as she stumbled back
"Sorry" Bella smiled as she got back on her feet. Ashley moved from behind Jace and attacked Nala, leaving Bella for Jace. Ashley struck her dagger against Nala's sword so that Nala could only defend against the attack and the ones after. Bella and Jace were fighting all out with each other. Ashley was overpowering Nala and with each strike, Nala moved backward toward Bella and Jace.
"Jace!" Ashley shouted as she shoved Nala back again, Jace looked over at Ashley and smiled,
"Got it!" Jace shouted back as he started to lead Bella backward as well. Ashley gave Nala one last hard shove, and Nala went stumbling back and knocked into Bella. Bella fell forward as Jace moved to the side,
"Nala!" Bella screamed as Nala fell onto her
"I'm sorry," Nala said as she pushed herself off of Bella and onto the ground. Ashley and Jace had their weapons pointed at the two girls,
"Jace and Ashley win the first round!" Noran shouted as the crowd cheered. Bella and Nala walked away with their heads hanging,
"Nice teamwork" June said to Ashley and Jace
"Thanks, June" Jace and Ashley responded with smiles on their faces.
"The next battle will be teams one and four!" Noran shouted. Roxy, June, Dream, and Issac all headed for the battleground.
"Ready for some fun June?" Dream asked as Issac and she took their spots,
"Definitely" June responded with a smirk as Roxy and she got ready.
"Begin!" Noran shouted and the two teams took off toward one another. Dream stopped her running and drew her bow
"Ready Issac?" Dream asked as she knocked in an arrow
"Ready!" Issac shouted as he drew his black sword from the ground in front of him. June smirked, she knew their plan and imagined her stick turning into a shield,
"Roxy get behind me," June said as she knelt on the ground, Roxy did as June asked as Dream let her arrow fly. Dream's arrow hit the shield June was holding while Issac continued his run toward June and Roxy.
"Roxy" June said as Issac closed in
"Got it" Roxy replied, already reading June's mind. Roxy ran around June and her shield to meet Issac, Issac stopped unsure of what to do,
"Attack the Hellhound Issac!" Dream shouted as she threw her bow to the side and drew her short sword,
"If you say so" Issac responded as he swung his sword at Roxy. Roxy leaped to the side as Issac swung at her, but Roxy was only the distraction and Issac focused only on Roxy. Issac unaware that June was running right at him got hit by June's shield. Issac stumbled backward baffled by the sudden attack,
"Don't forget there are two of them" Dream said as she stood next to Issac
"Sorry" Issac apologized as Dream came up with a new plan. June watched as Dream spoke to Issac and looked at Roxy,
"Are you okay?" June asked as she looked at the Hellhound,
"I'm fine" Roxy replied
"It's just weird being in a fight when there aren't any shadows" Roxy explained why she looked uncomfortable,
"Sorry," June said as Dream and Issac prepared for another attack. Issac and Dream ran toward June and Roxy
"Here they come Roxy," June said as she returned the shield to a stick. Issac attacked first and Roxy lunged at him, while Dream ran for June. June turned her stick into a sword and Dream attacked.
"Come on June!" Dream shouted as June and she exchanged blows; June focused on Dream's attacks, and June was taking in everything to come up with a plan. Dream hesitated for a second as she made eye contact with June, June's eyes changed from hazel to grey. June noticed Dream's hesitation and used it to take advantage of the battle. June knocked Dream onto the ground and as June went to end the battle Dream was swallowed up by the ground;
"What?" June asked herself as she looked at the ground in disbelief,
"Thanks, Issac" June heard Dream speak from behind her. June turned to see Dream standing next to Issac,
"The boy is the son of Hades, so of course, he is going to have a few surprises" Roxy explained to June,
"Oh, thanks," June said as she walked over to Roxy. Issac called for skeleton warriors to help Dream and him fight against June and Roxy. June watched as skeletons climbed to the surface from below the battlefield,
"Roxy?" June asked
"Son of Hades" Roxy replied as the skeletons got ready to attack.
"What do we do?" June asked as she knocked a skeleton to the ground,
"Well you could command them," Roxy said
"How?" June asked
"Just try giving them a command in your mind. Fill the command with authority" Roxy explained as she bit off a skeleton's head. June looked at the skeletons and said stop in her head; the skeletons stopped moving and looked at June,
"Roxy?" June asked, a little confused,
"They're under your command now June" Roxy explained and June smiled,
"Nice". Issac looked at Dream confused,
"What just happened?" Issac asked
"Look at June's eyes" Dream responded. Issac looked at June and saw her once grey eyes were now an orange color,
"Dream?" Issac asked
"First grey and now orange" Dream was deep in thought and not hearing Issac. June told the skeletons to leave and while Dream and Issac were surprised and confused Roxy and June attacked.
"Dream!" Issac yelled as he noticed their opponents running their way; Dream snapped out of her thoughts and looked at the situation.
"Issac go left," Dream said as she ran to the right; Issac did as Dream said and June followed him. June jumped at Issac and caused Issac and to fall to the ground,
"Got you," June said as she pressed her blade to Issac's throat,
"Don't be so sure" Issac responded as he allowed the earth to swallow him. June was ready for the trick this time and stopped Issac from leaving,
"Not so fast," June said as she ripped Issac from the ground,
"You're mine" June smirked as she raised Issac to the sky.
"June and Roxy have won the battle, but Issac and Dream showed excellent teamwork so they will participate in the next contest with Jace and Ashley" Noran announced and the crowd cheered.
