“You never said that healing is unique ability to your family. I healed the princess and those highborns caught onto your identity.”

The colour on RuIng’s face drained. Sevir blinked. Never in all these years did he ever see RuIng shocked or scared to such degree, maybe once but that was it.

“What is the matter?” he asked.

“What did they say?” RuIng said at the same time.

“They said that since I took the first step and risked my identity to help the princess, they agreed to exchange their secrets too. It’s a big secret too.”

Sevir knew it wasn’t entirely the truth but he didn’t want to see that expression to pure fear on RuIng’s face again. RuIng released a breath.

“Sevir, my family was wiped out because of my unique heritage. Imagine being skinned slive, healing and skinned over and over again. That is what will happen to my family if anyone, even King Kai, finds out about any Sunbird of Sunbird qualities being alive. My grandparents will meet a fate worse than death.”
