Sevir turned to the fox next. The fox did not fight; it opened its mouth and screamed, a broken gurgle or a giggle before Sevir wrapped his fire lit hand around its mouth in a tight grip.
“We need to get out of here.” Sevir called.
Bailong looked at the window and looked back at the small pack of hyenas that was trying to make their way through the chaos of the inn.
“Wait.” He told Sevir. Sevir paused and held still with the struggling fox.
Bailong explained, “I have a solution for the hyenas.”
Sevir waved his hand, telling him to hurry. Bailong looked down at the chaos. The few customers within the inn were all injured by spikes, some were bloodied and fighting, while others hurt and fleeing. There were only a few to begin with.
