“Where were you? I came and saw that the crystal was sitting in the water. Did they get you?”
“Yes, they did. But I am fine now.”
“Orb away from your body.”
Sevir put it away from his body with effort. “Sorry, the equinox passed.”
RuIng shook his head, “the winter will not work out if autumn did not.”
Sevir frowned, “how?”
“Too cold, I think. Nothing happened even when I poured all the fire. It should have happened instantly.”
“Try outside the water?”
RuIng hesitated.
Sevir shook his head, “we will try at the winter solstice. If there is a lack of fire, we can use mine.”
RuIng shook his head. “I do not want to use yours. If I pass through it and end up burning myself, it will be useless again.”
Sevir nodded, “alright, but we should still try.”
RuIng smiled suddenly. A big, radiant smile that was getting rarer each day. Sevir raised a brow. RuIng laughed. “I thought you were just going along with what I said.”
Sevir’s brows pulled together in confusion.
