Bailong smiled in his vision with a heavy heart. Sevir trusted him with his life and his brain. His single word in affinity had settled Sevir’s heart. The man had not even tried to look deeper into himself, just taken his word for it. He shook his head at what he saw in his vision of Sevir. Qinglong snickered. “Back to work. The immortal king is coming.”

So, Bailong shook his head and used the gathering emotions to lift up heavier weights. His brother lent his strength. He was still not used to using it.

He had lifted Sevir up by the tail and now tried to pick a boulder. If it didn’t fit around his tail, he couldn’t pick it up. He couldn’t roll his tail to his stomach, unlike when he was a snake. The birth of wings and widening of the body had given him some stiffness.
