Do you trust me?

"I'm not sure. I haven't seen him since the morning. He didn't come here, did he?" Alex murmured, and he turned to look around. Wilson continued to move gently while not remaining still. He walked around and eventually came up to the cemetery gate. He stood there as his gaze stopped on Alfred.

Alfred was standing quite a distance away. He was standing in the shade of a tree. Wilson mumbled his name, "Alfred."

Wilson saw Alfred's gloomy expression from a distance. Instead of remaining, he moved forward and approached Alfred.

"Alfred."

Alfred glanced up from the ground as he heard his name and turned to face Wilson. Wilson was approaching him. His expression darkened. His face broke out with dread. He took a brief step backward.

Alfred addressed Wilson as he approached. "Mr. Wilson."

"What have you been doing? Exactly why didn't you attend the funeral?" Wilson questioned.

Alfred clenched his jaw and responded with a trembling. "I was present. You were unaware of my presence."
