Chapter no.82 Don't Let the Past Hold You Down

[ POV Change ]

As I looked down at my reflection in the crystal clear water, it was as if my worst fears had manifested into a physical form.

"You!"

The reflection sneered, its tone mocking and cruel. "Haha, looks like you remember. I am honored."

Ignoring its tone, I asked," What do you want ?"

"I want to hear you cry," the reflection said, its tone almost eager. "I want to see you break down and give in to your emotions. Do you think that crying will solve anything? Do you think that the world cares if you cry or not? You think that coward you call your mother would come back with that ice cream if you just cried?"

The reflection's words hit me hard, and I felt a wave of anger wash over me. How dare it spoke to me like that? How dare it mock me for my pain and vulnerability? I balled up my fists, feeling the frustration and pain consume my mind.
