Inis was not satisfied with the current growth in energy because she recognised the feeling inside her body.
When the system and levels were a big part of the world, there were some which could use energy and their bodies well enough to gain mastery over what they had gained.
There was a big difference between those with talent and those that had been able to boost their level and stats by being with a competent group.
Those that had the talent or worked hard to gain mastery over and understand their bodies would be able to use their skills better and possibly improve them on their own.
Inis was one of those people who reached the peak with her own hard work and talent so she had a better understanding towards the energy in her body and its current state.
She could faintly pick up on the energy of others so that she could identify a person based on their energy output to identify their estimated level.
If the system used levels to increase the physique and stats while providing a small amount to distribute for each person every level then the current energy system was similar.
Each stage of energy represented a growth in level or personal power which would help to boost the physical bodies stats to another stage.
Upon reaching level one to nine was one small part of it which then went to level ten to twenty until it reached ninety nine which was the limit.
The outside world had split the current world's power system into nine realms with nine stages so while it was not exactly measured by the exact same system, they were very close in terms of energy levels which was convenient for Inis to get a rough idea for her power level.
The energy within her body had calmed down within her and she could feel it within her so she thought to herself. 'I stepped into the ranks of a level one once I had gained the world essences help. Only now after I ate that evolved flesh and the evolved Treant's heart did I experience the feeling of reaching level two. If this is the case then… I am still much too weak.
There must have been many who have reached a much higher level by now. This energy must have some effects too once it is collected within the body in a greater quality and quantity. Are those people still alive or have they died already? Hah.. if only I could go investigate the outside world.'
She had identified herself at the current stage of level two which was still very tiny compared to the power she had in her peak.
There was the additional flaw that her current body was not a human one but was instead a monsters, the only upside was that the physique was still somewhat human shaped so she could still adapt to it and perform several movements she could in her previous body.
Running and leaping was not one of her strong points but she could still make use of her smaller size and longer reach so she was not too upset.
She did not know that her thoughts were very close to the system established outside and how the aether era had progressed.
Her current realm was at the second stage or early stage of the Elementary Realm while monsters with her level were usually categorised at the early stage grade one monsters.
Meanwhile Inis had finished dismantling the Treant and collected the sturdy wood from it that could be used which was put towards improving the staffs used for the bone spears and to improve the shield.
She was never the type to waste anything so anything let over was devoured by the four weaker Gremlins which followed her.
They made their way deeper into the forest and came across a small group of creatures which had wandered around together.
They each carried small wooden clubs in their hands while some had stones tied to the end.
They had dark green skin, a small body and had pointed ears a little different to her own bat like ears.
Inis hid behind a tree then pointed towards the other Gremlins who hurriedly ran out and caught the attention of the Goblins.
The Goblins turned around to see the figures which were slightly taller than them running over. "Kikikiki."
A savage look appeared on their faces as they charged forward and attacked swinging their clubs.
A shield blocked the strike of two clubs which were aimed towards one Gremlin, as they fell down after using their jump to aid their swing, a spear pierced their side while an axe cut into another goblin which was further away.
A goblin fell back after its attack had failed but a figure appeared near it and stabbed some bone knives into its chest.
The difference in strength was not that obvious between them but they had been put through Inis's sparring so their instincts were slightly better while they did have better tools to use.
Inis stood back and leaned against the tree as she watched the numbers be reduced quickly. 'Not bad.. those goblins greatly underestimated them. It seems that the Goblins in the area have been used to defeating the Gremlins because most would be unarmed and with poor experience.'
The goblins had taken the group that followed Inis as an ordinary group and had failed to realise the threat in front of them.
The only one that remained after a short time of combat had stood back then ran away in fear.
She continued to watch the four of them devouring the bodies in front of them and let out a sigh. "Hurry.. eat.. fast."
The Goblins that had been encountered were just ordinary monsters without any real power so they made perfect opponents for the two new borns and the other two who had recently gained a little energy in their bodies.
They did not provide that big of a threat but allowed them to test what had been learnt while getting them used to using their weapons against others that used them too.
The crunching noises continued as the Gremlins chewed on the corpses of the Goblins.
Meanwhile a small figure ran away in fear while holding a wooden club and stumbled over. "Kiki."
It got back up then dashed into a cave opening, the environment was very dark and there was a slight slope on the path which the Goblin was running on so it almost slid down a couple of times.
It soon found what it was looking for as many figures appeared deep within, a cruel and wicked smile appeared on its face.
Upon seeing the goblin leave, Inis started to collect the herbs in the area and showed a slightly sinister grin on her face.
A gaze turned towards the footprints on the ground and followed behind them.
