After the father and daughter had went over everything completely, he had left with a cold look on his face.
He spent some time cooking and preparing a drink for his daughter then brought it to her.
Upon returning a little later, his daughter had been found dead and the babies inside of her had died along with her.
His daughter may have meant something to him but he did not wish to see her give birth to monsters.
His decision was to get what information out of her that he could but he could not sit back and watch her give birth to the children of goblins.
She was already too far gone for an abortion and she was already in a bad enough state so she may have only suffered further and may not have survived after giving birth to them in the end.
Her reputation along with his own needed to be considered within the village so that had helped him to make his decision to end her life.
The hatred that humans had towards the creatures that came from the dungeons had not lessened over the changing of an era and it had only become much worse.
The constant territorial wars and monster attacks left many humans not knowing how they would survive to the next day.
More cut off villages or human settlements bore the brunt of the effects the creatures from the dungeons had on their world.
They had less access to what others had and they had fallen behind the times of advancements so they could easily become closed off from the rest of the world.
Education, weapons, technology and other advancements like aether energy training methods may not have been available to everyone around the world and a small village would have limited resources available to them.
Most would live in the village their whole lives without opportunities to go to another place and find an opportunity to improve their lives so many had relied on the village community a lot since they believed that they could not survive on their own.
A small village would be a place where rumours would spread quickly and those that did not fit in could be pushed out.
The collective hatred towards the dungeon creatures and other races would have been turned towards the daughter first since she would have been the one to carry the children of monsters.
That hatred would be turned towards the father if he accepted his daughter back with open arms knowing her situation.
That hatred would be turned into bullying and isolating them until they would be driven out of the community completely.
Any kind of efforts that the father had made to integrate with them would be gone.
He hugged his daughter in his arms for a while and kissed her forehead before getting up to leave his home.
He stepped outside and greeted the rest of the villagers once they had been called out. "My daughter could not hold on. She was captured by monsters and suffered at their hands but she was able to bring back some news. There is a new threat and it must be stopped before it comes to us all!"
His voice was loud and heavy as his anger and grief had been shown to each of them. "I propose that we eliminate the threat before it comes to us all."
He continued to explain everything that he knew and his words had continued to rile up everyone's hatred and mistrust of the monsters that were a threat to their lives.
Inis may have set his daughter free from the goblins and allowed her the opportunity to get to safety but the father was not grateful for that.
Monsters were just vile creatures that were like wild beasts, they were humanities enemy and could not be trusted or reasoned with.
Even if there was an intelligent race or creature out there, they were still the enemies of the humans in the village and would always be seen as a potential threat to them.
It did not matter what the intentions of Inis were when her intelligence was only seen as something that would make her an even bigger threat in their eyes.
There was no room for negotiation once the fear had spread within the village and each of the villagers had started to gather to form a hunting team.
Various weapons were prepared to ensure that their mission would be a success.
If it was a more advanced community then they may not have had such a violent response right away and they may have sent some teams to investigate or make initial contact.
They would have been able to assess her effects on the surroundings and her possible goals before coming to various conclusions whether they would be leave her alone, negotiate with her or to order for her to be killed.
Other groups may still hold hate towards the monsters and various political agendas could always get in the way.
Some others would even go as far as enslaving various races with useful innate talents so that those talents could be put to use for themselves or others while the slaves would be the ones to suffer.
Others may even go as far as discriminating and harming those of the other races.
Everything depended on the environment that each human was raised in and other important factors.
Not every race had been able to integrate into different communities so there could always be hate groups and others that were protesting for the rights of those races.
Unfortunately Inis was just another intelligent monster that was seen as something that would soon turn her attention towards the village and could not be reasoned with.
If it had been another Gremlin then they may have been right and their actions were correct in the way that they acted swiftly to put a stop to a growing monster threat in their area but they were truly unaware of the dangers that they were heading into.
Inis was not just a human in her former life but was the hero that had saved the world, her ability to survive would not be so easily overcome by a group of villagers and her own power had been growing more quickly that the villagers could have ever guessed.
