The further that Inis had travelled inside the village, the more careful she had to be to hide her body.
There was a bonfire that had lit up an area that was closest to the middle of the village and there was some noise that came from there.
Those that were still out at that time had been gathered there and were celebrating their recent successful hunt.
The rest or the village was very quiet unless there were some noises that came from within the homes that were occupied.
Inis had climbed up over a wooden fence and landed in a back yard where there were still clothes hanging up on a line.
Inis reached up but could only grab onto some pieces of clothes that were larger and closer to the ground. 'Ah.. this size is so annoying.'
If she continued pull at the clothes on the line then the movement would draw attention to herself and they may not have been damaged anyways from the force applied and her nails digging into them.
Inis climbed up the pole that the line was attached to then cut the end while holding onto it.
Once she had got her hands on the line, Inis slid back down the pole and tightened the line as she moved closer to the clothes on the pegs then pulled them from the line.
Anything that was useless to her had been discarded on the ground while some children's clothes were in her hands.
She found a place to change her clothes into something more comfortable and covered her body well enough to allow her appearance to be better concealed.
Some pieces of clothing were ripped and were wrapped around her arms, legs, feet and hands to hide her skin colour.
The hood of a coat was pulled up over her head and a wide smile had appeared on her face. 'Step one complete.'
In order to blend in with the environment better and to move through the village but if she was seen by others, they would not raise an alarm right away since she would not be recognised as a monster.
When they first saw her in the darkness, she could easily be mistaken as a child of the village that was out late at night.
They would underestimate her since they would see her as a child and they would approach her without caution which could present other opportunities for herself.
Even if Inis did not wish to retaliate completely and get innocents caught up in any kind of acts of revenge, there would always be situations beyond her control.
It was difficult to adapt to her new life where she was a monster and the humans were the hostile force.
As someone that was leading the charge against the dungeons and the many creatures that lived within them, Inis had become the very thing that she had been rallying the rest of the world against.
The humans she had protected would become those that would be hostile against her existence at any time and she would be the one to defend her own life if talking things out did not work.
The hatred that humans had towards the creatures that came from the dungeons could not be overcome so easily so Inis would have a difficult life ahead of her.
She would have to get used to the new life she would have to lead and would have to find her own way to survive whether she had to kill the humans she fought to protect and to even ally herself with the creatures that she once hunted.
Her small body had carefully moved around the village and went into hiding once there was someone passing by her then she moved towards another building.
Each location that she had passed by had been searched around quickly for anything that could be of use to her until Inis was standing close to the better looking home where there was a large lock on a sturdy looking storage building.
The teeth of Inis had bit down and a part of the lock had fallen off before entering her mouth.
Crunch.
Crunch. Crunch.
The metal was chewed within her mouth as it was broken apart until it was in small enough pieces that allowed them to be swallowed by her. "Bleh."
The rest of the lock was pulled off from the door and the door was opened slowly before Inis had entered and closed it behind her.
The little moonlight that had shone inside for the time that the door was opened had allowed her to get a quick look at what was inside but there was still the senses that she had developed in her previous life and new body that let her adapt to the dark room.
There were several faint lights that came from some boxes that had gaps in them in some parts of the room that had lit the room up a little more but it was not by that much.
Inis was instantly attracted to them when she had sensed the strangeness of the things that were contained within the boxes.
