Preparations

Iñaki descends the stairs and with each step, he feels Mike's eyes on his back. Rambo, meanwhile, goes down with his tongue hanging out.

When Iñaki enters Eduardo's apartment Sofia looks up and waves at him. Iñaki imitates her smiling. Rambo approaches the girl, licks her leg, and lies down next to her chair.

"Morning."

"Good morning," Maria replies.

Mike sits at the table and Iñaki senses his image and that of Martina repeating in his head. Eduardo contemplates a map on the table.

"We're all here? " asks Eduardo.

"Martina is missing," the figure of Victor with a cup in his hand comes out of the kitchen, "but we can start."

"All right, this is the church," Eduardo points to the map, "and here we are."

"It's about ten streets away," says Victor.

"Eleven exactly. The area is surrounded by urbanizations like this for the most part."

"But?"

"But a mile from there, as you know, there is a shopping center."

"And you're not sure if the father...?"

"Manuel."

"Will Father Manuel be there or if he even has supplies?"

"No, I don't know."

"What do you think?"

Victor's question catches Iñaki off guard.

"What other choice do we have? " answers Iñaki.

"Exactly," Mike says.

Eduardo nods and Victor resigns.

"If you hadn't failed in the supermarket we wouldn't be in this situation right now. Anyway, are you going, Eduardo?"

"Yeah, I'm the one who knows the area best."

"Okay, Mike, you stay with me. Iñaki, you're going with Eduardo. Keep the gun."

"You got any more bullets?"

"No."

"Great..."

"Get whatever you need, leave now."

"Why wait?" Eduardo asks rhetorically and folds the map.

Okay, I´ll be upstairs if anyone needs me. By the way," he says turning around, "did anyone see Martina?"

"No, I didn't see her," replies Iñaki.

"Okay, it doesn't matter. Good luck and don't fail this time."

Victor leaves the apartment and Eduardo shakes his head.

"Doesn't Matter..."

"Huh?"

"Whether we obey or not, it doesn't matter. He won't go and someone has to go. Anyway, time to get ready. Come with me.

Do you still have the axe Mike gave you?"

"Yes."

"Ok. Mike, can I have yours?"

"I could go with you."

"You may find it strange, but I agree with Victor, I think it's best that you stay here."

"Okay, count on my axe."

"Neither of you has any bullets left?"

"No," Mike replies.

"I have one left."

"Okay, take this hunting knife. Comes with a belt. Let's see... a backpack for everyone...weapons...flashlights... Are you ready?"

"I'm ready, let´s go."
