Cultivating In The Skies

The fact that he can tear through the skies, majestic as a divine roc, truly felt magical to Lin Xiang.

Being a True Venerable master in his previous life for so long, his main method of traveling was Spirit Ships, transmission arrays, or using arts to directly travel through the Void Space.

The memories of sailing through the skies have long been repressed.

But now, back in the open blue skies, under the rays of some sun star close to the Sky Cleansing Planet, letting his hair recklessly flap in the wind, Lin Xiang was enthralled by this sensation.

It was the taste of being mortal again. Something of which he hadn't forgotten because of his Dao Heart, but something which never came up in situations.

His Spiritual Sea had even undergone subtle shifts, broadening to a new perspective.

As he flew, Xie Ya was right beside him. She couldn't help but marvel at the absolute ease Lin Xiang had in controlling his Heavenly Cloud.

She asked in a sound transmission. 'Brother Lin? Just how deep is your comprehension of cosmos energy? And for that matter, how can you resist the world's forces so easily to fly? My bloodline gives me far better comprehension than others, and even I have trouble resisting the world's forces.'

These world forces were, of course, not anything new to Lin Xiang.

Within the lower plane and higher plane, their governs different rules and laws permeating throughout the entire plane. These rules and laws could be described as the faint presence of the Great Daos, or the natural forces of the universe.

For a Heavenly Origin cultivator to fly, they would need a considerable amount of understanding of forces permeating throughout the air. They would be grasping hold of the rules that keep the lower plane consistent and natural.

Once having a fine grasp over these rules, a cultivator can utilize cosmos energy to go against the world forces, soaring through the skies like any majestic spirit bird.

Flying, in a way, increases a cultivator's general understanding of the universe. Thus also enhancing their perception abilities towards comprehending their own unique Dao Laws.

Lin Xiang not only has his Absolute Yin-Yang bloodline but also innate high comprehension from his previous life. His Dao Heart surface allowed him to easily adapt to the world's forces.

Towards Xie Ya's question, Lin Xiang casually said, 'Think of it like this, instead of trying to forcefully tear through the world forces, it's better to grasp a complete understanding, know the inner workings, and then use your own force to create a new path with this foundational understanding. It's all depending on how broad your own perception can turn.'

'I see...' Xie Ya seriously took in the advice.

Though, her brows crease, evidently having some problems in attempting to decipher the hidden layers within Lin Xiang's words. She had problems, but she stayed determined to figure it out on her, carving her own path, as they say.

Seeing this, Lin Xiang lightly chuckles. 'It's not so bad to receive help from time to time. Here, just focus on how I arrange my particles within my Heavenly Cloud.'

'Mn?' Xie Ya's Divine Sense promptly swept through Lin Xiang's Heavenly Cloud on instinct.

What she perceived enthralled her.

Such profound complexity of Lin Xiang's cosmos energy felt as if she was reading into a new topic not a single person had taught to her before. This topic can not only enhance her mind but also help inspire inspiration in her own cultivation!

Xie Ya internally sighed. 'Such a deep understanding of the Great Dao! This must be better than even my own Supreme Elders and ancestor. Can genius even describe him anymore? Well, whatever. I'll gladly take hold of this opportunity.'

Sailing on her Heavenly Cloud, Xie Ya closed her eyes, maintaining maximum focus.

All of her Divine Sense concentrated on studying the complex particles within Lin Xiang's cosmos energy. Even though she could really only perceive a very tiny portion, such was enough to slowly expand the regions of her Spiritual Sea.

Mystical sensations, peering into the misty fog that is that surrounding universe. On her own, such sensations would be far too confusing to Xie Ya. But now with Lin Xiang, it was as if there was a small road for her to study and expand upon.

She really didn't need to open her eyes to fly as a small portion of her Divine Sense guided her through the air.

Like this, the duo made a gradual return to Sacred Emperor City. It was a nice, quiet time.

Between the two, a subtle atmosphere permeated. It was a serene feeling most other cultivators would have when also cultivating with their friends.

All Profound Law cultivators study and immerse themselves in the Great Dao. This kind of immersive state can link up with other cultivators, creating an invisible bond.

Most of the time, cultivators don't need words to be shared to deepen their relationship. Simply cultivating with each other has the effect of linking to each other presence. As if the more they grasp the particles of the universe, the better they could understand each other.

It was a mystical sensation. Something that couldn't be described in words, beyond the understanding of common mortals and even most Profound Law cultivators. And yet, the mystical sensation is still subtly felt by those who cultivate the Profound Laws that govern the universe.

During these types of wondrous processes, time seemed to lose all meaning.

Xie Ya was certainly immersed in this mystical sensation. Before she even knew it, Lin Xiang had suddenly stopped, also causing her to pasue dead in her tracks.

Lin Xiang's gaze swept through a massive city covering a huge mass of land on the ground. This city had to be at least thousands of miles long!

Even from miles away, one could luminous radiances of Law essences permeating around the city. It held a very attractive presence, inviting all to explore its wonder.

Xie Ya had also noticed this city. Her brows slightly curled, "This is...Sacred Emperor City? It's a bit odd? I mean, the Law runes are obviously inferior to Sky Holy City. But I have some experience, and it almost feels like the overall presentation of the city can reach a rudimentary divine tier! But, from everything I read about, this should just be, at best, a 2nd rate city."

Lin Xiang had an easier time perceiving the faint sensation of divinity hidden within the depths of Sacred Emperor City. His gaze seemingly penetrated through space, landing on a particularly massive structure within the city.

This place was a luxurious estate. It spanned across a couple of miles, extremely wide and expansive, enough to fit hundreds of cultivators.

Even from Lin Xiang's distance, his eyes could still see the glorious Law runes shining with unfathomable radiance essence.

Lin Xiang casually said, "I do recall that the Sacred Emperor Mansion within here has ties to a Divine Lord ancestor. It may not have been able to continually retains its height from its glorious days. But it's not too surprising if they can keep divinity hidden deep within their walls."

"Hmph. I see." Xie Ya said, though her tone evidently didn't sound all too convinced.

Focusing past this, she asked, "So? Where is our first destination? I can't sense there are many independent realms here or training realms. And even then, none of what's here would be useful to us."

Her words were a bit arrogant and crass. But Xie Ya truly did have every amount of qualification to look down on Sacred Emperor City as a giant whole.

After all, the Sky Holy City is one of the top-tier Divine Cities across the entire continent! The height she lived in, and the values she was taught, trained her mind, causing a natural sense of pride to seep into her bones.

Lin Xiang smiled at Xie Ya's disposition. Within her, he could nearly see himself acting the same way at one point in his previous life's journey.

But now?

He calmly told Xie Ya, "No doubt, there are many other places where increasing our cultivation, and chances for enlightenment are far better. But this doesn't mean this place doesn't have anything for us. Come, follow me."

With Lin Xiang in the lead, the duo flew down from the skies, landing a few dozen of meters from the entrance of Sacred Emperor City.

Lin Xiang then tossed over a scroll to Xie Ya, informing her, "For the moment, I'll need to return to the Lin Family manor to pick up some things. You can't mask your Heavenly Aura, so it will be too troublesome to bring you along. So, I want you to simply study that art while I'm gone. Oh, and give me your contact ring so we can meet up later."

As Lin Xiang spoke, he already shifted off to the side of the main road. His natural presence had faintly shrouded Xie Ya.

Though his soul essence couldn't just drill into Xie Ya's body to mask her Heavenly Aura, it wasn't enough to make her mysterious enough so that any passing cultivators would ignore them.

It was this 'Soul Preserving Art' that Lin Xiang had passed along to Xie Ya.

Catching the art, Xie Ya swept a curious gaze over. "Soul Preserving? Hoh? Soul art isn't too rare. And since you said it, I'll be sure to thoroughly study it."

Putting the scroll away, Xie Ya continues to say, "Alright, you're going to that Lin Family and I'll check out at some hotel. Don't worry about me starting a random mess. Nobody is foolish enough to cause trouble with my cultivation base."

"Mn. Let's hurry along."

With a nod, Lin Xiang was internally pleased. He could see that Xie Ya still had her own doubts, but was willing to keep an open mind and actually follow through on his words. Even the most subtle actions like this can influence a cultivator's Martial Will and how they act in other situations.

It was promising to see that Xie Ya has both a firm and flexible personality.

With everything decided, the duo smoothly entered Sacred Emperor City.
