To Xie Ya's concerns, Lin Xiang casually smiles. "It may as come as a bit of a surprise, but I do have a domain-type art that'll prevent anything troublesome from happening. While I quickly clean up, you'll study the radiances particles that'll fill the area."
"For real? An actual domain type art?" Xie Ya was slightly startled.
Her Divine Tier sect has access to treasure coves worth of cultivation art. In these treasure coves are especially powerful arts with the ability that can bring the skies down and split open the earth.
And yet, out of all types of cultivation arts, it was domain-type arts that stayed the most elusive. It doesn't help that to even learn a domain art, one's perception ability needs to be at an exceptionally higher tier, even greater than the average genius.
Domain arts hold a certain stigma amongst cultivators. Its rarity is always accompanied by tremendous power. The rarer the cultivation art, the more dangerous the cultivator typically is.
After only a moment, Xie Ya got over her slight surprise and seriously nodded. "It feels a bit strange to just sit out and watch on the sidelines. But I know my combat prowess is useless at the Heavenly Ruler realm. Hopefully, after this inheritance, I can take that final step."
"I have a faint feeling that it may very well be possible."
The encouraging words from Lin Xiang slithered into Xie Ya's mind. She felt far more hopeful from his words than if it was said by a Great Elder or ancestor from her sect. Her fire to improve was fully invigorated.
Within minutes, Lin Xiang and Xie Ya traversed dozens of miles.
The scenery shifted several times beneath them. There was the occasional smaller town and villages, these places covering several miles radius.
Far weaker cultivators lived here and the general environment was several times lower than that of Sacred Emperor City.
Still, with the level of environment not being insanely high, to a point where peak Heavenly Origin experts can roam the streets, the cultivators living in these smaller towns most likely live slightly easier lives.
In terms of perspective, slightly easier for the life of a Profound Law cultivator.
This still means that these cultivators undergo numerous life-or-death trials to perceive the mystical sensation of Profound Laws. Nothing would ever come without putting in work. Even the country bumpkins of cultivation were more than aware of this.
Along with these towns and villages, there are also expansive mountain ranges and dreadful deathly forests.
Monstrous beasts of all levels inhabited these wild, untamed areas. Every vicious beast was terrifyingly bloodthirsty. If not sufficiently prepared enough, then even groups of cultivators can lose their lives in these deadly areas.
Lin Xiang and Xie Ya swiftly flew by everything. Now wasn't the time for sightseeing. Lin Xiang actually quite enjoyed exploring new sights. But the sooner he could finish this task, the better.
Soon enough, Lin Xiang suddenly focused his attention on a specific deathly forest.
Nothing about this deathly forest screamed special. Completely ordinary, blending in the same as the others.
Most would simply look right past this deathly forest. While those who came wouldn't venture far because of the monstrous beasts.
Lin Xiang flew straight down towards this specific deathly forest, Xie Ya following close behind.
The duo didn't make a single speck of noise as they landed. What greeted their sights was an endless vast of a ominous forest.
Dark, rusted trees with fresh blood staining them. Weird runic patterns were also engraved at the trunk of these trees. The ground, at numerous spots, was cracked into pieces from ferocious battles. Adding to the dreary atmosphere was a foul stench of death. Blood could be smelled from miles away.
It was like entering a new region. An area where there was only one rule holding down everything. That is the fight for survival!
Without sufficient strength, any cultivator or monstrous beast would be brutally cut down here. Never to be seen again.
Lin Xiang and Xie Ya's minds were completely calm. Experienced veterans like them treat blood-stench areas like this as another day.
With Lin Xiang in the lead, the duo silently flew forward. Their movements went undetected by the nearby monstrous beast.
Miles deep in the deathly forest and after numerous specific twists and turns, the duo had finally detected several powerful Heavenly Auras merely 500 meters away from them.
Xie Ya's presence was at least faintly traced by them. While Lin Xiang still stayed undetected. But even so, just one peak Heavenly Origin warrior wasn't that much of a concern to these auras.
Every single one of those auras had reached high into the Heavenly Ruler realm, the peak layer!
Such power of Heavenly energy and mystical Profound Laws was overbearing. It subtly rippled in the atmosphere, affecting even the way the air flowed.
This was a true field of death. Any Heavenly Origin cultivator foolishly entering would be cut down without even knowing how they died!
To these peak Heavenly Rulers' eyes, these two minor cultivators were beyond foolish. They had unknowingly courted death due to pure ignorance.
Lin Xiang was calm as he stopped. His hands flashed instantaneous signs. A faint streak of green light radiance from his body. The green radiance spread at light speed. Weak souls wouldn't be able to detect this radiance. Even Heavenly Kings would fail to do so.
For a range of a mile, everything was engulfed by this faint green radiance.
'Let's go.' Nothing but confidence filled Lin Xiang's tone. Along with Xie Ye, he swiftly flew forward.
Past the endless blood-stained trees and cracked ground, the duo soon spotted an intriguing sight.
From a couple hundred meters away, every tree was cleared out. There even weren't any cracks or splits in the ground.
Laid wide open in this open area was a single black tomb. Strange Law runic inscriptions were carved all along the black tomb. Mystical sensations exuded from every single Law rune. A hypnotizing glow would directly pull in the soul to get close, with or without their permission.
Lin Xiang and Xie Ya's eyes brighten. They wanted to walk directly toward the black tomb.
However, the moment the duo spotted the black tomb, an overbearing voice smashed into the atmosphere. Extremely powerful, their vibrations being enough to generate razor-sharp wind. Every wind slash can mince weak bodies into pieces. Towns would crumble to specks of dust. Nothing could stop the descent of power.
The power of a Heavenly Ruler expert!
"You two stop!"
A middle-aged man silently appeared dozens of meters between Lin Xiang and Xie Ya. There was no indication of this man's appearance. His swift speed made it seem like he was faster than the wind.
This middle-aged man stood proudly with his hands crossed behind his back. His aura would be suffocating. Extremely overbearing to the point of taking mortals' breath away.
He radiated a presence dominating enough to put hundreds of Heavenly Ruler experts down to their very knees.
This was the powerful oppressive might of a peak Heavenly Ruler expert! A higher mountain that represents the wide gulf between the realms of cultivation.
All Profound Law cultivators should be more than aware of the chasm between cultivation realms. It's an unspoken rule among all.
And yet, this Heavenly Ruler Elder felt slightly strange at Lin Xiang and Xie Ya's indifferent reactions.
Nothing that should happen had occurred. There wasn't the slightest bit of reverence or fear.
The elder felt a trace of intrigue towards these minor Heavenly Origin experts. Especially since these two are the same as him.
This Heavenly Ruler Elder wore a similar style of clothing to the Sacred Emperor Mansion's robes. Though he had several more powerful Law runes radiating off the fabric.
A thought streaked into the elder's mind. 'Could these two be thinking about getting into the inheritance ground? Surely, they're not that stupid enough to demand that. Their talent is meager at best, even with this calm temperament. To think I am wasting my time with this. If not for those robes, I would've already squashed before they even reach here...'
No matter the duo's reasoning. The elder already regarded Lin Xiang and Xie Ya as people barely worth listening to.
