Shaifeng stepped into Cass' room and noticed the absence of music. Curiosity piqued, he traced the sound to Cass' walk-in closet, where he found Cass packing a bag. A hint of concern creased Shaifeng's brow as he approached.
"We've already talked to Tan. He won't speak falsely about the orphanage again," Shaifeng assured, his tone earnest.
Cass responded with a simple, "En."
Shaifeng persisted, wanting to alleviate any concerns Cass might have. "You don't need to leave because of this. I can guarantee Tan won't lie again."
Meeting Shaifeng's gaze squarely, Cass remained resolute. "First, I have no doubt Tan will lie again. It's what he does. And second, if I had an issue with Tan being here, I'd tell him to leave, not me. After all, you're the guests."
Shaifeng blinked, momentarily taken aback by Cass' assertion. "Then, why are you packing?"
