CHAPTER 10
"Good." She said before returning her gaze to the floating screen that she operated with her fingers that never came closer than a few centimeters to it.
He noticed that her gloved hand had some yellow spots on the fingertips. Perhaps it was some sort of technology that helped her interact with it.
"Cassian Rush, right?" She posed the question again. He was about to answer before she added; "And please be advised that any form of fallacy will be detected and also signal immediate elimination."
"…Yes. That's me." He was speechless for a moment but not really surprised.
"Age."
"32 years old."
"Favorite color."
He raised a brow, wondering how anyone knew that. He never told any Apotheosis Seeker.
He didn't dwell much on it though as he could feel her gaze on him.
"…Dark pink." He answered.
She stared at him for a few seconds, during which his heart rate increased to an unhealthy level, before returning her gaze to the screen.
"Please do not waste too much time with your replies. I have other duties to attend to, and the Great Mother is not a fan of tardiness. Your late arrival will not only affect how she treats you but me as well."
There was some information to unpack from that statement, the notable one being the 'Great Mother' she spoke of. He speculated this figure she spoke of likely being the goddess the Seekers worshipped.
Though he didn't get much time to dwell on it as she fired the next question.
"Favorite food,"
"Chicken or Turkey with rice and my personally created sauce." He said; "…Must be taken with apple juice."
"Favorite tv series."
"Family Law."
"Favorite anime."
"…Oshi No Ko."
"Favorite song."
"All of NF's discography."
"Favorite porn site."
"…." He was speechless. He was already having a strange feeling as the questions kept on coming. He kept on wondering how they got all the information about him. It didn't seem like she was filling in the information as he said it. He wondered if there was even a lie detector but he didn't want to test it out. 'Maybe it's text-to-speech?'
"…Favorite porn site." She spoke again, a hint of annoyance in her tone.
"Uh… Ahem. HungryDumbWeeb26Z.com," He answered, a hint of shame in his tone.
"Isn't it HornyDumbWeeb26Z.com?" She asked not long after causing his poor heart's state to worsen.
"Eh?! How do you—" He halted when he met her stern gaze; "Ahem. No, it's not. That's my second favorite."
The orange haired lady nodded and continued asking him questions while certain questions repeated in his mind in an infinite loop.
'What?'
'How?'
'What?'
'How?'
How did they know?
He was amazed, freaked out, and wary.
She didn't care much for his mental state as she asked about forty more questions before she closed the holographic window and turned around, heading towards the purple door with a golden handle.
"Welcome to Benevolent Divine Realm, Cassian." She said as she opened the door for him. "I'll guide you to the Great Mother. She has been expecting your arrival."
After confirming his identity, her tone seemed to have changed, albeit only subtly.
"Mm." He did as he was told and stepped out of the door, finding himself in a hallway with a purple carpet and silver walls.
There were several purple doors, just like the one he just stepped out of, lining either side of the hallway whose end he could not see on either side.
"This way, please." He turned to see the lady already walking away but stopped when she noticed he was still rooted in place taking in the surreal and beautiful sight. "If you get lost here, it would be troublesome."
"Ah. Yes."
They walked for about an hour and forty-five minutes before the scenery finally changed.
The end of the hallway finally came into sight.
Eventually, they stopped before a purple elevator door.
The orange haired guide stood before the door as a golden light shot out of the door and enveloped her for a few seconds before returning to the door.
Ding.
The doors slid open before she turned around to signal him to go in, which he wordlessly obeyed.
The cross-sectional shape of the interior of the lift was an unconventional hexagon rather than rectangle.
She stepped in after him and said; "Floor 6999."
After she finished speaking, the doors slid close and he had the vague feeling of going up.
It was only half a minute before the doors reopened and she turned to gesture for him to step out.
"After you."
Wordlessly, he complied and stepped out of the lift where he was greeted by a sight that raised more questions.
A long purple carpet leading from the elevator to the other end of a room bigger than any he had ever been in his life.
White walls and pillars that reached heights he found unbelievable.
The room seemed to be hexagonal in shape.
As he followed after the orange haired lady, an empty white throne with purple markings soon came into sight after walking for a third of an hour.
She suddenly stopped and went down on a knee. "Great mother;" She bowed. "Val Grove seeks an audience with your esteemed self. The one you have been expecting has arrived."
Silence.
Time seemed to stop. Half a minute. One minute. Two minutes. Three minutes.
It was five whole minutes, and she remained kneeling, before she received a reply;
"Rise."
Cassian who had followed the lady to kneel finally looked up to see that the previously empty throne was now occupied.
On it sat a woman with the same strange white skin like his guide who had presented herself as Val.
Unlike his guide, she sat with a leg crossed over the other in a light blue dress that went down to her ankles that were fitted with silver jewelry.
Her feet were bare and her toenails were painted black.
Her dress had no cleavage but he couldn't easily ignore her chests that had passed the F cup mark.
His gaze soon went towards her neck that was fitted with more silver jewelry and then towards her face.
She was quite beauty that appeared to be in her late 20s, despite the unusual skin she had.
Said skin served to contrast her purple-colored eyes and long healthy gray hair that went down her back.
Each of her ears were also fitted with three dangling hexagonal silver earrings.
"Val Grove greets the Great Mother."

A/N: Please bear in mind that things mentioned in this chappy are fictional… well, mostly. The character's preferences have nothing to do with my real-life preferences.
Well, maybe except the favorite song part.
And don't bother searching up the websites. I don't even know if they even exist. If they do, then… damn.
Either way, I would like your feedback on the rewrite so far. Please comment either chappy or paragraph works for me.
