“Guards!” I shouted. I had to go it solo for the previous two targets, but I had no such qualms this time around. Two guards soon clattered up the walls. “Wait, stop!” I shouted, and they did. 


“Princess,” one asked. “What’s wrong?”


“We have another assassin. They must have sneaked in, they’re in the tower opposite this one. Alert the rest of the guards that we have an attacker in the castle. And make sure my father is secure!”


“Your father is escorting the Ged dignitary back to the border, ma’am,” explained the first guard. “He took many of the guard with him.”
