MILITARY TRAINING 2

A group of people were breathing, their chest rising and fallen. Their body drenched in cold sweat, vein protruding from their head. Some gnashed their teeth and continue run forward.

"Why would the prince ask us to run without using using magic" A voice complained in a low voice.

"You're not being force to be part of the training. If you can't endure, find the exit" A voice snapped.

At once the group remain silence, they groan and continue to rush toward the young man in blue. After a couple of minute, some of them arrived at the finished line. They fell and gasp for air. They rolled on the green field the chest facing the sky.

Al Casendra looked at the people without blinking with both hand on the ground. After every one has completed the race. He approached the board and wrote. "Fail."

What!

The group rolled their eyes and looked at the prince with their jaw dropped. How did we fail? They cried in their mind. Just then, Al Casendra wrote another sentence on the board.

"Completing the mission without waiting for the order of the commander is deemed failure. Resting on the ground without the permission of the commander is a failure. Losing your guard in training is a failure."

They read the rows of sentence with their eyes wide widened. They couldn't believe what they just read. They looked at the face of the prince but saw no smile. What kind of shit is this!? They cursed in their mind.

"All Stand!" Al Casendra wrote.

The group read the word and stood up, groaning. Fuck we're still tired. Can't you give us break? Al Casendra picked a cane and step down from the podium. He walked toward the trainee with blank expression.

No one dares to look at the prince. Their heart thumping, racing to jump out of their ear. Al Casendra pointed his cane to more than half of the people, moving them to the left side. Everyone looked at the prince, wondering the next abysmal things that would happened.

Without waiting for too long, Al Casendra wrote on the board. "Time is essence for you to be a military personnel. Those on the left go for another 5 laps while those on the right go for 3 laps. Offense, your team failed to response to command on time."

What!

This can't be happening!

"Now go!"

The trainee was still in daze when Al Casendra wrote the command. Some of them were still in daze when a group of people rush to the large expanse of field and began to run. When the group looked back they saw people not joining them.

"What are you stupid people doing. Do you want us to die running!" A female voice echoed throughout the field in annoyance

At the end of the day, the trainee stood on the training field with trembling legs, sweats pouring from their body like a broken dam. On the podium, a light smile appeared at the corner of Al Casendra lips. He nodded and wrote.

"Well done everyone. Day 1 is gone. Let prepared for Day 2. We meet here tomorrow. Dismiss!"

A sigh of relief escape from the lips of the people when they were dismissed. However, none of them left. Their eyes glue to the prince. Al Casendra chuckled inside and leave the training ground with both hand on his back.

"Finally!" A middle aged man shouted, falling on the grass, panting.

"Where the hell did the prince learn such killing exercise." A voice complain.

"That couldn't be consider exercise but punishment."

"Keep your complain to yourself. No one forced you." A young female retorted, dragging her aching body out of the training ground.

"We're not complaining but stating the fact. Everyone depends on magic for combat. But the prince was against it. But asking us to go through the hell of a punishment. Is it because he has no magic that why he's venting his anger on us" A young man said in disdain.

The young lady stopped on her track and looked at the young man with a piercing gaze. "I don't know what delusion you surround yourself with. You're nothing with magic . And you comparing yourself with the prince. Hahaha."

The field echoed with the mocking laugh of the lady. No one dares to breath, every eyes was the lady. After a few seconds, the lady wipe the tears from the corner of her eyes. "You're new in LonFall Pass. I hope you last the night."

The young woman turned her back and left shaking her head. At once, everyone on the training ground leave the field, looking at the young man with a strange gaze.

'Why are they looking at me like that?' The young man cried in his heart. He looked at the people and snorted. "This a known fact why must I be scared to say my mind."

"Not in LonFall Pass and not again the prince." A middle aged man answered, looking at the young man for a moment and left. 'I hope you last the night.'

"Captain, this a strange city?" The burly man whispered.

"Yeah" The captain nodded. "Just for us to spend three days in the city we need to undergo such procedure. And their currency. Who the hell gave them such command." He cried.

"I heard that its was the manaless prince. This city has turn to his base. He's the king here." The female adventure replied.

"The king!" The burly man rolled his eyes.

"No! Not necessary the King. But he has the power of the king here." The female adventurer added.

"We shouldn't concern ourselves with that. How's our preparation—"

"Sir, adventurers." A middle aged man approached them in large stride. "I have prepared everything you need. And the hunter is ready. You can depart right away."

"Thank you." The captain smile at the middle aged man. "Let go."

"Wait. If you kill enough beast. I buy beast materials. Don't worry, I will give you discount." The middle aged man flashed a cunning smile. 'I must be part of those merchant the prince will allow to trade in other city.'

"Sure."
