Invitation

From the side, the man from the Mystic Heaven Sect clapped and spoke.

"Congratulations on your Extreme Sword Sect for getting such a good seed."

The man from the Black Dragon Hall snorted on the side then the woman spoke again.

"Apologies for not introducing ourselves. I'm Alyssa, an elder of the Extreme Sword Sect. The man with the fan is Ray from the Mystic Heaven Sect while the grumpy dude is George from the Black Dragon Hall. Come, follow me back to the Extreme Sword Sect camp."

Alios then wore his clothes and Wolf mask.

"Why do you still wear that mask?"

Ray from the Mystic Heaven Sect asked. To which Alios struggled to reply.

"U-sed…to…it."

"All right, well from now on you are a member of my Extreme Sword Sect."

With that, Alyssa gave Alios a badge and spoke.

"This serves as proof of your identity that you belong to my sect. Don't lose it."

Hearing this Alios nodded, he suddenly turns towards the direction where the young man who tore the talisman that called him and his group went. He then turned back to Alyssa

Alyssa naturally got what he was trying to convey and nodded.

After receiving permission, Alios grabbed his sword and rushed toward the young man and his group.

There, they were catching their breath after a series of fierce battles and recuperating. They've lost many of their comrades today. A sense of relief came over them when they heard the horns coming from the northern forces signaling their defeat but they instantly got their defenses up when something dangerous approached them.

They saw a young man, clad in black with a wolf mask over his mouth. The hairs on their bodies stood up and they felt death looming over them as he approached. But Alios didn't do anything except knelt at the side of the young man who was half-conscious and spoke.

"M-y...de...bt...is...pai...d"

It was hard to make out what Alios was saying due to not being proficient in speaking but the young man understood what he meant and struggled to nod.

Alios got up and walked away from the group before stabbing his sword to the ground.

The eyes of the nearby disciples of the three sects and the representatives were on him and soon, their expressions change to that of surprise and fear.

Blood from the fallen warriors on both sides started to float before rushing toward Alios and circling his sword like a rushing tide.

A bloody swirl formed on the battlefield with Alios as the center.

"What the hell is he doing?"

The George of the Black Dragon Hall asked.

"This astonishing...that sword is capable of absorbing and refining blood into energy. Its splitting the energy between him and it."

From the side, Ray from Mystic Heaven Sect exclaimed. Their sect was well-known for being knowledgeable about different lineages of cultivation but he is actually clueless about how the sword was doing this.

"The sword is a treasure..."

Hearing what Ray said, George muttered.

From the side, Alyssa heard this and clearly saw a trace of greed in the eyes of the Black Dragon Hall representative.

Shing!

George quickly took a step back as a sword flashed toward where his throat was.

"Easy, Easy. That man is already a member of your Extreme Sword Sect. I won't steal from a member of our Tri-Sect Union. I'm just curious about the sword."

"Humph."

Alyssa snorted and placed her sword back in its sheath and while this was happening Alios' sword completely absorbed and refined the blood from the corpses within 500 meters.

The surge of energy welled from within him as he broke through to the next stage of his cultivation.

The three representatives quickly arrive at his side and Alyssa asked.

"6th-stage Foundation Building Realm?"

Alios nodded and from the side, Ray snapped his fan closed as he exclaimed.

"Not only the 6th-stage of Foundation Building Realm but the peak of the 6th stage!

Amazing."

"Young man, can I see your sword?"

On the other side, George could no longer contain his curiosity but he was forced to curb whatever desire he had within as Alyssa dangerously eyed him.

"I'm just curious..." He meekly said.

On the side, Ray from Mystic Heaven Sect chuckled. Despite his hulking stature, George was fearful of Alyssa and there was a good reason why! Those from the Extreme Sword sect were all considered to be crazy. If you offend them, they would retaliate to the extreme hence the name of their sect. Even their cultivation methods were considered to be extreme by others.

"One sword over myriad techniques"

This is the philosophy of all sword cultivators, so it was natural they be feared.

With the woman here, Alios had no fear that George would run away with his sword...not that he could anyway.

Alios took his sword and placed it in the Black Dragon Hall representative's hand. After examining the sword, he exclaimed.

"This is a soul treasure! How the hell did you get this sword?"

He quickly turned to Alios. Soul Treasures were one of the most sought-after equipment in the cultivation world. They were not inherently strong on their own but they are able to grow with the user and evolve to the next rank after being fed with different materials, much like a cultivator progresses to the next realm of their cultivation.

"It flew...to me...on its own."

Surprisingly, Alios was speaking more coherently after his breakthrough. He was getting more and more used to his healed body. And he estimates that it would take him three more days before he could speak fluently.

Hearing his reply, George slapped his own head as he couldn't process what he just heard.

"What mad luck! Soul Treasures are very rare and the treasure spirits born within them are extremely haughty. Many have tried to court different soul treasures but very few have succeeded and you tell me this one actively chose you? Fucking hell!"

The Black Dragon Hall representative was losing his mind. He just couldn't process how in the hell a Foundation Building weakling like Alios managed to attract a Soul Treasure?!

On the side, Alyssa was more and more intrigued with Alios. She wasn't scared that people will target Alios for his Soul Treasure because people knew that even if you kill the owner of the Soul Treasure there is little chance that it will choose you. Everyone in the cultivation world knows that being acknowledged by a Soul Treasure depended on luck and destiny. Soul Treasures didn't care about status, fame, or other things. The one thing that could help others bond with a Soul Treasure is if they are compatible with the spirit of the treasure and as of right now, they don't have a clue about the spirit of Alios' soul treasure.

"All right, enough about the sword. Let's all get back and attend to our disciples. Alios, follow me."

At the side, Alyssa cut in and reminded them of their responsibilities.

The three representatives nodded and flew toward the border wall that separated the Eastern and Northern regions. Alios also passed through the wall's checkpoint which alerted the Tri-Sect Union's surveillance team.

While the three representatives flew, Alios followed suit on the ground.

After a while, they reached the wall, and there, they saw countless disciples from their sects nursing their wounds and mourning the dead they brought back. There are others who suffered a crueler fate such as some female disciples of the Mystic Heaven sect who acted as support to the other two sect disciples. After their group was defeated and killed, these women, who are known for their beauty were captured and defiled before being rescued by other groups of disciples.

The face of the Mystic Heaven Sect representative was twitching in anger as he clutches his fan hard.

Meanwhile, the death count of the Extreme Sword Sect and Black Dragon Hall disciples was also something that angered the two representatives as they each brought a thousand of their sect's disciples. Now, less than half of their numbers remain. It really made their blood boil.

On the side, a strong surge of energy oozed out of George as he asked in a low voice.

"How long till the disciples of the Sect Alliance arrive?"

Hearing him, Alyssa clutched her sword in anger as she answered.

"Two days at most."

Hearing this, power welled within George as he stomped his feet in rage, cracking the ground underneath him.

"Bastards! They are trying to weaken our sects!"

Hong!!!

These three are enraged because those Northern bastards are attacking again in their most vulnerable moment.

The three representatives are certainly strong but they dare not enter the battle because they knew that the experts on the other side will certainly intercept them. Thus, they can only place their trust in the young ones.

The disciples of the three sects quickly mobilized, while those that are wounded are moved further back.

On the horizon, they saw northern warriors on horseback rushing toward them. These disciples felt fear as sweat trickled down their backs for they knew that the enemy outnumbered them. Some of them subconsciously took a step back. Naturally, this was noticed by the three representatives but they didn't blame them. Fear was a natural response but it is unnecessary at this moment.

Suddenly, the three representatives, turned their heads to the side as they felt a palpable killing intent and saw Alios slowly walking toward the horde of northern forces. They were astonished because Alios had just joined the Extreme Sword sect and had no sense of belonging there but he was the first one to make a move and actively seek battle.

Not only that, they could sense an overflowing killing intent and momentum!

Alios gripped his sword tightly and swung it around before a crimson light gleamed from his eyes and he rushed forward. His speed was unlike any the three representatives saw from a Foundation Building realm warrior.

It didn't take a while for Alios to clash with the frontlines of the enemy troops when they saw a silver glint as Alios raised his sword and cleaved down.

Awooo!

The eyes of the three representatives widened. Especially Alyssa!

"Sword Concept!" She exclaimed.

As Alios swung his sword down, an image of a black wolf seems to swipe its claw along with his sword.

The enemy in front of him couldn't put up any resistance as Alios' silver sword cut him in half from the shoulder to the hips.

But he didn't stop there, Alios kept swinging his sword, spinning, dodging, and weaving through enemy troops, while killing them one by one.

"Such Savagery!"

George of the Black Dragon Hall exclaimed, he was delighted as he too fought in a rather savage fighting style.

"Yes, almost barbaric even. Clearly, he hasn't received any guidance regarding the sword..."

Ray from Mystic Heaven Sect added. He had more respect for Alios because of the attitude he showed in the face of overwhelming odds.

On the side, Alyssa turned towards the disciples of the three sects who were glued where they stand.

"Look, a newly accepted disciple of my Extreme Sword Sect didn't think twice before facing our enemies and yet you all stand there, afraid to even take a step forward and fight. Disappointing..."

After saying this, she flew above the battlefield where she was soon followed by the other two representatives. Back on the ground, the remaining disciples who are still able to fight looked onward where Alios was still madly fighting against the northern forces without fear.

Disappointing!

The woman's words echoed in their heads and they too were disappointed in themselves. Some of them shook their heads as one by one they took a step forward shouting...

"FIGHT!!!"

And with that, the two forces met on the battlefield again. Only this time because of the unexpected appearance of Alios who can easily kill many enemies on the same level as him, the northern forces began to split. Leaving only a part of their force to deal with and stall Alios. They were slightly afraid of him because they had no information about him. His appearance was too sudden.

The enemy troops that were left to deal with Alios didn't actively fight with him only stall or kept him where they were.

On different parts of the battlefield, many groups of disciples fought with the forces of the northern troops, and when a powerful Shamanic Warrior or Spell user appeared they would retreat as their numbers were insufficient to deal with such a strong enemy unless they had someone as strong as them.

One group was dealing with a Shamanic Warrior who was at the 8th-Stage of the Foundation Building realm, not someone a group of 5th-stage and 6th-stage disciples could deal with.

Suddenly, Alios raised his sword and slammed it down on the ground creating a dust cloud as he immediately escaped the encirclement and rush toward were strong opponents.

A black blur could be seen making its way through the battlefield like a black wolf and as it soon arrived before the 8th-stage Foundation Building realm Shamanic Warrior, a dust cloud exploded again. Alios lunged forward, stabbing his sword toward the enemy but was blocked by the enemy's arms. The Shamanic Warrior was sent ten meters back, his arms radiated a golden hue. He grinned at Alios and spoke.

"Nice stab but you-"

He was about to brag but he was cut off when Alios quickly followed up his attack with a downward cut, to which the Shamanic warrior moved to block. But Alios' sword suddenly disappears and the next moment, he was looking at the sky the world before him started spinning.

The last thing he saw was the silver glint of Alios' sword.

Everyone on the battlefield was stunned, especially the warriors from the Northern region. The man whom Alios just killed was a well-known warrior in the Foundation Building realm who was famed for his inhuman strength and defenses.

But that young man in Black made quick work of him.

They couldn't believe it!

Everyone saw the Shamanic Warrior being pushed back by Alios before Alios moved to swing his sword down at him but Alios suddenly changed the course of his attack as if he had inhuman control over his body.

He spun to the other side and swiped the opponent's feet which caused him to fall backward then Alios continued his spinning motion and delivered an upward cut that severed his opponent's head.

After that, Alios didn't linger and quickly made his way to another powerful opponent.

"STOP HIM! "

A commander of the Northern Forces shouted from afar and countless warriors made their way toward Alios but they were blocked by the disciples of the Tri-Sect Union.

When Alios killed that powerful warrior of the Northern troops many disciples understood what they must do.

It's not that there weren't any strong disciples in the Tri-Sect Union but they just couldn't kill those powerful warriors from the Northern forces as quickly as Alios due to the larger numbers of enemies. So, they understood that they must make sure that that young man in black isn't impeded.

As long he is able to lessen the number of those strong warriors from the north then they might have a fighting chance!

For the first time in their campaign against the East, the Northern forces were experiencing their first actual loss.

Alios kept cruising through the battlefield killing their strong warriors one by one. His silver blade weaved in the air followed by a fountain of blood. If their forces moved to maneuver against him, the disciples of the Tri-sect union would block them, giving Alios time to rush toward his next target.

"Fucking fantastic! He may not be well-versed in sword arts but his fighting strength is amazing!"

George smacked his fists, he was ecstatic.

"Indeed. His sword is crude but deadly, its essence is only to kill. Simple but deadly.

Alyssa nodded. She was starting to believe that recruiting this young man was her best decision in recent years.

Throughout the long history of Sword cultivation, many great figures in history created their own legacy in sword cultivation that either brought the known level of sword cultivation at their time to the next level or deviated from conventional sword cultivation and carved their own sword legacies. Naturally, the Extreme Sword Sect would have some information and basic techniques of these legacies which include the conventional or "Pure" sword style, the "Killing" sword style, the "Assassin's" Sword, and many others.

Alyssa believes that Alios' sword is the Killing Sword and its an extremely pure one despite being unpolished!

Hong!!!

Soon enough, horns echoed throughout the battlefield, signaling the retreat of the Northern forces. They couldn't allow the battle to continue, if it did, they may wipe out the disciples of the eastern region but they will lose many of the outstanding warriors that they have raised because of Alios.

On the battlefield, Alios stood there, slightly lunging forward. His right hand gripped his silver sword propping himself up, wounds could be seen from his torn clothes as he was dripping his blood. But many could still feel the oozing killing intent and momentum from him, it seems to grow stronger and more ferocious the more he killed.

Gradually, Alios' aura subsided and he took out a flask and drank its content. His wounds began to heal visibly.

A couple of disciples from the three sects nearby came to him and bowed in respect. They may not know who he is, but his contributions to this battle led to them being able to save more of their friends and fellow disciples. They were naturally thankful.

But Alios extended his hand stopping them from getting closer. He then raised his sword with both hands as the crimson gem embedded on the guard of the sword shone.

The blood of the fallen Northern Warriors began to fly toward his sword creating a massive swirl of blood.

The aura that the sword was emitting was extraordinary as it brought pressure even to the three representatives but they were more shocked to feel that as the swirl of blood declined in size, Alios' strength rose.

7th-Stage Foundation Building realm!

The peak of the 7th-Stage!

Till it settled on being half-step toward the 8th-stage.

"That is seriously one wicked ability..."

The Black Dragon Hall representative muttered. While the other two representatives nodded.

After Alios' aura settled, they issued the command to retreat back inside the wall to recuperate. They believe that the Northern forces would not attack again so soon.

Many disciples helped tend to the wounded as they slowly made their way inside the wall.
