Chapter 20-Isabella

I woke up to the incessant ringing of my phone. It had become quite the normal occurrence lately. The only good thing about it was the lack of a splitting headache. It was a welcome change compared to the last time I woke up after drinking too much.

I felt around my nightstand for my phone and found it, answering the call in my croaky voice. "Hello,"

I noticed a glass of water on my nightstand just as I thought about how thirsty I was. It was still cold, with mist lining the sides of the glass. Tristan must have put it here only a few minutes ago. He must have known that I would wake up soon, and he knew I liked my water ice-cold no matter the weather. I eyed the Advil beside it and sighed. I had come here to work for him by taking care of him and his daughter but it was starting to feel like he was the one taking care of me.

"Isa!" Mother's voice brought me back to earth.
