Aurora Lexington

TRISTAN

Seven years ago.

"Aurora Lexington, get down from that counter!" I yelled amid the pounding music.

My sister turned to me with an impish smile and winked. Well, attempted to wink. She was too buzzed to see me straight, let alone wink. I blew out a ragged breath as she held up the bottle she'd been using as a microphone and continued singing her heart into it. In a few long strides, I reached the bar and carried her off the counter.

"Dude!" A douchebag grabbed my shoulder. "She didn't say you could pick her up like that."

I glared at him over my shoulder, sending him squirming away. He certainly was enjoying the show. My sister was a beautiful woman, which was exactly why the thought of her being in a bar full of assholes, singing at the top of her lungs and dancing while they ogled at her and cheered made me want to rip their heads off.

"Fuck off!" I growled.

Rory tried to wiggle free from my grip. "Tris, what are you doing here?"
