Catching Up

"Who was that?"

"Huh?" Skylar gulped hard.

"Want me to repeat?" Louis hissed.

"He ...... He...."

"Can't talk?"

"I ....Can ...talk,"

"Then? Cat got your tongue?" Louis hissed.

He was emitting so much rage that could melt an entire continent.

"He ...is Ray... " She stuttered her response.

"Ray?"

"I mean... Raymond... A friend."

"A friend?"

"Yes," Skylar nodded again.

"So, what business do you have with him?"

"None!" Skylar exclaimed as he strode closer to her.

"Then what were you discussing at the party?"

"We were catching up," She stuttered.

"Catching up? He smirked evilly. "What did I tell you?

"Huh?

"You disobeyed me," Louis pursed his lips and nodded.

His eyes were fiery and his voice was cold. He fit the description of fire and ice perfectly at the moment.

"I didn't know he would.....

Louis hopped out of the car before the driver could bring the car to a stop. He held Skylar's hand pulling her out with him as he got out. He wasn't ready to listen to whatever she had to say.

Skylar staggered from the force but Louis gave no damn about her. He placed her hand in his and pulled her violently as he marched into the house.

Skylar hissed in pain as her leg hurt so much and Louis was making her walk so fast that her entire body weight was resting on the default foot.

"Louis my leg....."

"Keep quiet," He spoke softly that one would mistake him for an angel.

"My foot hurts please let me walk on my own," she pleaded as he pulled her towards the stairs.

"Keep quiet," His voice sounded soft and sweet but the venom was evident in it.

"I can't go up ....."

Her words got stuck in her throat and were replaced by pain as Louis dragged her up the stairs.

The maids stood with their heads bowed as he sauntered passed them. They knew he was out for blood and at this moment they should all be on their best behavior otherwise they would incur his wrath.

"Louis please....."

"I said, Keep quiet!" Louis yelled as he shoved her into the room. He closed the door with a loud bang.

Sending jolts of fear to the entire building as it shook from the force with which the door was closed.

Mr. Josh could only say a silent prayer in Skylar's name. There was nothing he could do even though he feels very sorry for her.

"Get up!" Louis shouted at Skylar who had fallen after he shoved her in.

She could barely stand on her feet and he shoved her with so much force.

"I can't, my leg hurts," Skylar tried to explain.

"You dare to defy me?" Louis leaned forward and grabbed hold of her neck.

"Lou...is..." Skylar tapped his hand as he choked her.

"Don't you know who I am?" He yelled. "I am Louis Anderson and no one refuses me!"

Skylar struggled but Louis's hold on her neck was strong. She wanted to talk but her vocal cord was also in Louis's control as he was holding tightly to her oesophagus.

Skylar's face was turning pale from lack of air so Louis let go of her. He flung her hard against the floor and she winced as her head hit the wall.

She coughed violently as she gasped for breath. She tapped her chest as she tried to catch her breath. Hot tears streamed down her cheek.

"I own you and you must obey my every order, is that clear?!"

"Hm," Skylar nodded frantically.

"Is that clear?!" He shouted again.

"Ye...Yes Sir," She nodded.

"Now, get out of my sight!"

Skylar crawled with alacrity. She moved as fast as she could towards the balcony. She couldn't wait to hide away from the monster, Louis.

She sat with her knees folded and she hugged herself to gain some companionship as that was what she needed at the moment; Someone to hug and console her.

Her head was starting to bleed from the impact of the fall earlier. She has only spent a few hours there and her life is difficult. What happens when she stays longer?

Louis poured himself a drink and emptied the class in his throat before marching to the bathroom.

He returned after changing out of his clothes. He was now wearing a short and a sleeveless shirt. He called Mr. Josh over to discuss business. After all, he was in Philadelphia for a reason.

Mr. Josh glanced around the room as soon as he arrived there. He was afraid of seeing what the room must have been reduced to. However, to his surprise, the room looked perfect with no abnormality. Except for the blood stain on the wall.

He felt sorry for Skylar and wished he could see her as he couldn't imagine the state she'd be in at the moment. He knew the blood was hers, hence, he could only pray that it wasn't a serious injury.

"Madam is asleep? Mr. Josh finally found the courage to ask as soon as they finished discussing business.

"Out there," He pointed at the balcony nonchalantly.

"I'll go say hi," Mr. Josh excused himself to go see her and his heart melted seeing her state.

She was laying on the cold floor, curled up in a fetal position. Her hands were hidden underneath her head. She was shivering from the cold weather. Her teeth were chattering loudly.

"Madam," He squatted beside her as he called her.

Skylar jumped. Her eyes shot open and she raised her head to see who it was. She cringed as she saw that it was Mr. Josh.

"You shouldn't sleep here," Mr. Josh stood up and deposited his hands behind his back.

"Yes, I was preparing to go in," She forced a smile.

Her eyes were swollen from crying and the dried tears made it clear that she had been crying.

Even though he knew what must have happened to her. He wouldn't dare talk about it.

Skylar held the railing as she tried to get up. He noticed her swollen foot and the red liquid dripping from her head.

Skylar limped and held onto the wall as she went back in. However, the pain was becoming unbearable. She was finding it hard to hold it in any longer.

Mr. Josh noticed that her head was bleeding badly.

"Madam, you're bleeding," He mentioned.

"It's fine," Skylar replied with a forced smile.

Her body disagreed with her comment as she felt dizzy as soon as she said it. She tried to grab hold of something to help her from falling but she fell and before she could realize what had ensued, everything suddenly went dark.

"Madam!"
