Chapter six

Chapter 6

Thomas Becker made it through the yard bleeding and sore, his eyes struggling to stay open. Andrew's friends had beaten the day of light out of him, in quest for information about Alex and Ashley. He had to inform Alex he was in great danger.

Alex worked on his hair while looking in the mirror. Turning around, he put his lips on Debby's, acknowledging the fact he just returned to Texas. Deborah Marvin pulled the blanket to her chest and played with his hair, "Welcome to Texas sweetheart."

Alex studied her with a raised brow, "Yeah? A place I could get laid every night."

Deborah grinned, "I'd assume I did not hear that."

Alex continued combing his hair as Deborah dressed up. Walking her to the door, he found Thomas Becker at the verge of death in his yard. Debby passed and watched him bleed with disgust and pity, walking out through the wooden gate.

Alex squatted and held Thomas up, "What... Who did this to you?"

Thomas managed a little breath and said, "Andrew... Andrew Stephen." The name made Alex's heart flip.

It worried so much why Andrew's clan had beaten Thomas to the verge of death, "Why would... How did you cross the path of that monster?"

Thomas smiled but flinched from the pain on his lips, "He knows about Ashley, Eleanor, ... Everything." Alex looked like he went into a trance, "How..."

"I don't know, " Thomas started, "he asked me, I told him nothing and now..." Thomas trailed off and coughed out some blood, "He's coming for you."

There was nothing that scared Alex more. He helped Thomas into his house. Before any further ado, he needed treatment.

Deborah Marvin played with her house keys as she walked home.

Matthew Kelleny, along with Alan Skipper whistled at her. She smiled, ignored and walked on.

Alan moved a bit and obstructed her way. She smiled and tilted her head, "What do you want?"

Alan played along, "I'm afraid you have to come with us."

She somehow misunderstood their intentions. A little more than five more males appeared from every side. Debby swallowed her fear and stared at Alan who raised a brow.

Janet pushed Deborah to the wall, "We have a few questions for you."

Deborah smiled, "I don't have time for this."

"Oh, you don't need to. You will have to unless your face would not be this pretty by the time I'm done with you."

Andrew approached from the back of the melee and moved Janet a bit so he could have a clear view of Deborah Marvin.

She smirked, "Isn't it Andrew Stephen himself." She placed a hand on his shoulder. Andrew stared at it, took it in his hand and gave it a hard squeeze, consequently cracking her bones.

Debby yelled and smirked again, "You excite me."

Andrew frowned and moved a bit away from her,"How long have you known Alex?"

She replied sweetly, "Do I smell jealousy?"

Andrew creased his forehead, God knew he was trying his best to tolerate her, "I'm still keeping you untouched because you belong to a gender like someone dear to me, just answer my question or I'll forget the fact."

Deborah sighed, "Ever since he came to Texas."

Janet seemed disappointed, "So you had nothing to do with him before?"

She nodded, "Yes, can I go now?"

Andrew narrowed his eyes, "No Have you learned anything about him since then?"

She flirted, "Yeah, he is pretty good in bed."

Andrew sighed, "Janet, please get this over with. I'm bored."

Janet felt disgusted at the sight of Debby smiling at her, "How close are you two. Do you visit him often?"

Deborah seemed to be more serious, "We are nothing more than friends with benefits."

"And you are not aware of him being a mysterious creep, " Janet asked.

Debby shrugged, "No. Except if having a mask and several knives in his jacket pocket makes him a creep."

Andrew smiled, just what he wanted;confirmation.

Daniella took off her cooking gloves and fitted her blonde curls out of her face. Who could be at the door now, ringing like maniacs from the 1959 asylum. Not bothering to check, she opened the door impatiently just to get the biggest dismay of her life;Alex.

He grinned, "Hey!" Daniella closed the door but he already had his foot at the post so it would not shut, "Oh c'mon! This is a very bad welcome for my first time. Don't you think?"

She opened the door to him, "Go away. I never said you could come here." Alex raised a brow, a shoulder and made a smile, one of his most charming ways of getting through.

Daniella stared at him, "That cute face wouldn't work on me." She turned around and walked into the house, Alex following from behind after closing the door.

Hopping into it, he looked around, "Wow you've got a nice place here. Did you really get all the money from a grocery store."

Daniella faced him and sighed, "We got the house before we began running the store."

Alex laughed, "Ohh! How'd you get such money? Ashley was very rich yunno."

Dani frowned, "So what are you saying? Angus killed Ashley and took all her money?"

He shrugged, "Ain't mentioning no names, " he widened his eyes, "you may not know. You might let your trust betray you."

Daniella was stern, "Get out!"

He sent her his most gracious smile that made her want to think twice, "Oh I'm sorry, seems I struck a nerve." When Dani ignored him painfully, he continued, "However, I came to be a relief. Andrew's a mistake, not a friend. That guy's a demon. He made Thomas look like a person malnourished with beauty."

Daniella turned to walk away when he clutched her wrist, looking straight into her eyes that strived to hold back tears, "I'd make a great companion yunno, " he eyed her body, "we'd have fun, every type of fun."

Daniella sent a punch across his jaw.

He tilted his face, clenched his jaw and smiled, "You got a sharp fist. I'm impressed."

Pushing her to the wall, he pinned her, "And fortunately, I got stronger, more interesting touches. Trust me, " he winked.

At first, Daniella thought she was hallucinating when she sighted Andrew at her door. He was a real creep sometimes. Andrew was really there, watching Alex threaten to lay his finger on his Danielle, forcing tears out of her.

He sighed quietly. Alex had only turned around when he noticed Daniella watch something behind him. He widened his eyes in fear, praying the floor under his feet could burst open. He was dead meat, he knew.

Andrew walked slowly to them. Alex however, moved inches aside so Andrew could reach Daniella. Andrew looked at her eyes, rubbed the tears off and looked at Alex.

Alex gawked and swallowed, making little backward movements. Andrew examined the tears on his finger, raised his chin and brow and hugged Dani.

She cried achingly on his shoulder, "Why is the world so cruel. Poor Angus..."

Andrew patted her head and hushed, indicating she needed to stop talking. He blinked back tears. Alex had made Daniella cry and he was going to pay for it.
