She came closer to me with scared eyes. She looked around and spoke in a low voice.
"Angel mentioned to me that there's a killer in our school. But– I didn't– I didn't believe her. She went about this girl named Almira, who went missing and was found dead in a box. Then she went on about another girl named Ruby, and– she was missing until now, and–"
I tapped her shoulders to calm her. "Hey, you can talk slowly. Take your time."
Her whole face showed nothing but fear. I was mentally taking notes especially because she mentioned the other girls with cases similar to Angel's.
"I should've believed her. I thought she was just obsessed with mysteries and crimes. And then she was just gone."
"Tell me what happened. Something noteworthy. What made you think that what she was saying about a killer was true?"
"On October 2, it was evening, and it was pouring hard. She called me and told me that she finally knew who the killer was."
