Hello Killer

Before going home, I went to the library. I wanted to take some computer and programming books with me. The library was empty, which was a good thing for me. 


While browsing the books, I heard a loud thud from the next shelf, and my heart jumped. I fixed my eyeglasses to calm my nerves. 


I headed to where the sound came from to see what made the thud. I was startled to see a girl running to the edge of the section. 


I stared at the book on the floor she had dropped and then picked it up. The title said, "Readings in the Philippines History." 


I wasn't sure, so I followed her. She inspected every section as if she was looking for someone. I hid so I could observe her. However, she looked confused and scared, and I thought I should reveal myself to ask what was going on. 


I quietly walked near her to subtly announce my presence, but she suddenly turned around, and we bumped into each other.
