A SHOOTING STAR

Shiro chewed the burger and moaned in delight. Akage’s shopping had been quicker than the first time they came to the mall, buying clothes for him. Shiro felt thankful he wouldn’t end the day in the airconditioned store that smelt like perfumes.

He hated the stress with clothes shopping. It had to suit the wearer’s taste.

Akage sipped on the boba as they watched the youths at the other side of the court playing basketball from their car.

Shiro squeezed his wrapped and dropped in the paper bag. He grabbed his coke and sipped, watching the match in disinterest.

The match ended as darkness slowly covered the sky. The team with bee colours won the match and shook the opposing team before everyone dispersed.

“The game is over.” Shiro stated.

“I was waiting. Let’s play one game.” Akage requested.

“I’m not a fan of sweat.” Shiro frowned.

“Are you afraid to lose to me?” Akage asked with a smug smirk.
