After training for a while and not making any progress, he wore his gaming console back on his head and logged into the Realm of spirituality...
He spawned in a dark alley around the Central region of the city. This alley was so dark and inconspicuous that one couldn't necessarily notice it even if you paid attention.
Once he appeared, the first thing he did was to check for the Gold rank equipment set he saw in the city's inventory. Once he confirmed it was still there, he withdrew it to his own personal inventory instead. That was the benefit of being the city lord. Though the city management was a huge responsibility it still came with a frightening benefit. Just the ability to freely take anything from the city's property was already Godlike on its own.
Once he completed the withdrawal, he promptly searched for Fiery Queen (Wang Xinyi) and sent a friend request. The social interface in game works like Facebook and you could search for whoever you wanted unless if the person deliberately hides their information...
Meanwhile, in one of the bars far away from the central regions of Jade spear Holy city, a female Level 52 Flame Wizard sat with another female player of the same level. They appeared to be in a heated discussion.
"How can you trust someone you don't know so easily" Wang Xinyi's friend, Sky priestess cautioned. "What if he was only a fraud?"
"He seemed like a talented expert. Didn't seem like someone who'd lie over a few bottles of low grade nutrient fluids"
"People can't be trusted nowadays" Sky priestess advised. "Sometimes, people you think are trustworthy end up becoming prosperous thieves"
"The deed is done anyway. And I'm not going to die over those fluids" Wang Xinyi said.
Just then a notification rang in her ears.
She was perplexed but she still
"Fiery Queen??" messaged Xuanyuan.
"Yes. who are you?" She asked.
"Xuanyuan" He replied.
"Where are you now?" she asked.
"I'm waiting at the City Lord's Manor"
"I'll be there right away!" she promised with a bright smile on her face...
"What's gotten you so happy all of a sudden?" Sky priestess asked.
"He messaged. He's already waiting for me" replied Wang Xinyi.
"Is that true?" Sky priestess asked.
"Yeah. I need to leave now"
"Okay. In that case I should tag along and meet who this 'expert' is" Sky priestess said and they both left the bar using teleportation scrolls to instantly tens of kilometers appearing at the Central region of the Holy city. Then the proceeded to the Manor right at the centre of the city...
At the gates in front of the city Lord's Manor, they looked around but Wang Xinyi couldn't find any player that resembled Xuanyuan.
Just as they were about to message Xuanyuan, a figure in stealth suddenly appeared in front of them.
"Are you looking for me?" Xuanyuan said. He was currently dressed like an Assassin and geared in low-level Assassin equipments. He disguised himself this way to avoid recognition by the players after all, the Sword Mage is a legend in Jade spear Holy city and it won't be surprising if he was recognized by the players..
"Who are you?" Both girls were frightened put of their wits.
"Xuanyuan" He replied. Both girls bombarded him with identification skills trying to inspect him but all they say was a bunch of question marks. Not even his name was visible. But the two girls weren't surprised. After all, it was possible for players to completely hide their information with advanced concealing items.
"Are you really Xuanyuan" Wang Xinyi asked curiously. Although the person did resemble Xuanyuan, she still asked to be sure of herself.
"Yes" He replied. "Are you ready to collect the item?" He asked.
"No. This place is too open" Wang Xinyi replied. The glow of Gold rank items is bright and revealing one in this place would attract the attention of both players and NPCs. They'd be looking for trouble if they revealed a Gold rank equipment set in this place.
"Let's look for a place more private" Wang Xinyi said...
"She's Sky priestess, my friend" Wang Xinyi introduced once they settled in one of the Advanced room of a luxurious hotel in the Holy city.
"Nice meeting you" Sky priestess greeted while Xuanyuan nodded in acknowledgement.
"The item?" asked Wang Xinyi with a bright smile on her face. After all, Xuanyuan's presence meant his promise was genuine.
Xuanyuan waved his hand and a bright glow burst out from his spatial bag landing directly on the table between them.
Spatial bags were unique items in the Realm of spirituality and are used to store items. This bag is small, portable and easy to carry around. But within it is a big space, so big that the space within a spatial bag of the lowest rank rivals a small warehouse. It can be used to store Gold coins, Magic crystals, weapons and equipments etc. But some strong items like Legendary ranked items cannot be stored in low ranked spatial bags due to their strong powers which the spatial bag cannot withstand. They can only be stored in Golden spatial bags and above...
