"Hey there, beautiful." A sexy drawl cut her off. I'd heard of ladies getting off to deep voices and I always thought the concept was stupid. But I was not so sure anymore. I could listen to it for days unending and never be sated. I was almost terrified to look at the face of the owner of that voice. So I took the wisest course- stay preoccupied with my phone.
"Ughhhhh, Roman." Lydia groaned as he approached. Roman. I repeated the name in my head. It sounded so badass. And speaking of asses, his was in front on me as he leaned to whisper to Lydia. Whatever he said to her made her blush profusely. Stupid girl! I suppressed the urge to narrow my eyes at them so I settled for rolling my eyes.
She cleared her throat to regain her composure but her flushed cheeks gave her away. She narrowed her eyes at him and mumbled something under her breath. I would have caught that if I was paying attention to her but I was too busy trying to ignore the deep voiced, tattooed man in front of me. He had to be above 6ft. I was 5'2" so his back towered above me. I could literally smell the confidence in his stance. I didn't know why I hated it but I burned holes through his head with my eyes.
Until he looked over his shoulder and spotted me. His blue-grey orbs latched onto my green ones and I lost all rational thought. I stared at him and concluded his face was beautiful, end of story. He had a little tat above his right brow. An inscription. He also had a piercing under his lips. I had a lot of ear piercings: an industrial piercing, a snug piercing, two tragus piercings, two helix flap piercings, three lobe piercings on my left ear and a conch piercing, a rook piercing, a flat piercing and two lobe piercings on my right. Staring at the metal under his lips, I wondered if I should get a face piercing too. At that point, I really was going soft and had to harden my resolve by giving him my infamous attitude. I huffed and rolled my eyes for the hundredth time that day. He raised his brow in amusement and grinned.
"Roman, what do you want again?" Lydia mumbled.
"Another keycard." Then he pouted and gave her puppy eyes. Thank God I was not at the recieving end of those. I'd be putty in seconds.
"Seriously? What happened to the one you took two days ago?" She questioned.
He grinned. "You really don't want to know the details. I assure you." She gaped at him and he shrugged before turning to me again.
"Hey." His pearly teeth would be the death of me. Oh God, what had I gotten myself into? I didn't trust myself not to stutter so I just nodded at him.
He grinned wider. It was almost like he could see the effect he had on me. The thought irritated me and I narrowed my eyes at him. My action cracked him up and he was literally wheezing before me. Why did I keep meeting people with weird laughs that day?
Sighing, I sidestepped him and extended my hand to Lydia. "I think we done here. Can I get the keycard?" She laughed and hands me one. "Remember, fourth floor, room 11." I repeated it and she blew a kiss at me. I was so tired I couldn't even roll my eyes anymore, I just grunted a response and walked towards the door.
"Bye CJ." Lydia calls out.
"Yea, you too." I looked at her over my shoulder and smirked. "Seriously though, get a new job." She cussed me out and I fought the urge to laugh as I stepped outside. Maybe making friends wouldn't be so bad. Maybe the university wouldn't be so bad either.
I crouched by the side of my baggage. I was really stressed right now and crave cigarettes. I haven't had those in years. I never really liked them from the start. I jumped a little as that deep voice startled me.
"Need any help with those?"
