Prologue

In a universe not unlike our own…

It was all but ordinary. Or so many have said. But what is ordinary? On the planet Eris' "ordinary" is a fake sky, underground cities, and nature recreations. A toxic surface that is blocked from society. Companies, a formation of many groups come together for a cause or for love, formed more than ever before. Each one with a different ideal, and those already established before the devastation grew and gained more popularity. Kisai, Ambarella, and Natsu to name the biggest. But even they had to readjust to this new ordinary.

The world turned upside down only 50 years ago. Eris' blue star threatened the planet with a devastating solar flare. Some moved to space and others worked to move underground. When the solar flare hit the surface was destroyed. The satellites fell from the sky in a rain of fire, along with acid rain, and the most insane storms.

When people fled underground there was unrest and fear. The world as they knew it was gone. But after a few years it became normal. It didn't take long to get used to it, especially with the simulated sky, weather, and nature. It was almost like they were still on the surface. People found peace again, in science, in religion, and with each other. The world moved on. Most did anyway. The surface was now clouded with debris, rubble, death, destruction, all covered by an orange sky making it too dark for Eriyn eyes to see. So, many had no desire to even think about going back up.

There were some that couldn't let go, they fought and continue to fight for life on the surface. The Ambarella, Raven, and Valen Companies to name a few are the closest to any breakthrough. Each company does so in their own way. Genetics, armor, regrowth, clean air, and all these advances in science and technology bring them ever closer to their goal. A goal that will one day be fulfilled.
