Need for more kills!

With the flames in both his hands Kyle then jumped upwards a bit, manuvering his body weight to descend more faster to the ground. As his body was falling he then shot the two flames in his hands, at the two nearby foxmen head. The flames shot fast as the foxmen were still unaware of the incoming threat, their movements were getting a bit clumsy.

'What's that?' A one tailed foxman, could finally see something coming straight for him. It looked like flames but they were darkish in colour, he wanted to move from his spot but his mind was drowsy.

"S-something's coming." The armed foxman finally managed to say to his peers. but alas it was to late, the flames were just inches away from it's targeted location.

'Bang! bang!' Two small bang sounds went off, as the flames connected with their heads. Because of the force Kyle used, it sent them crashing into nearby trees.

"Ahh!" they screamed in pain as the effects of dark flames kicked in, they could feel the flames burning their skin. They tried rolling in the dirt to kill the flames but it didn't work, instead it spread from their head going down to their bodies.

Their skins were being peeled by the second, as the smell of flesh being burnt surfaced from their burning bodies.

'W-what's happening to them.' The other members of their clan watched in horror, as the skins of the foxmen on fire dropped to the floor. Only when their skins were completely stripped from their bodies, did the flames die out.

'Bang!' Under their confused looks a third bang was heard, but this one was more louder than the others and it sounded more differently, like something crashing to the ground. Turning round under their heavy eyes, they could see what looked like a human male crouching down.

"It's a fucking human!" One screamed in disdain. He didn't know what those flames were, but he knew they were sure as hell deadly, as it had just wiped out two of their race.

"I'll kill you!" A foxman holding a small dagger yelled, running fast towards Kyle.

"No! Felix wait!" Another tried to stop him, but was too late. The moment Kyle landed something was very strange about him, as his senses were telling him this wasn't just any normal human male.

"Oh! really?" Kyle finally raised his head, his eye glowing red through the dark fogs. Immediately the charging foxman saw the two red glowing eyes his body froze, but not on his own will. He tried moving himself to get away from this terrifying human, but his body wasn't responding to him.

Kyle just casually walked to the foxman with a creepy grin on his face. He'd wanted to test his demon eyes skill on one tailed foxes, to see if it would work or not. He was hoping to test out some of his dormant demon skills, he hadn't used earlier.

'I can't believe it worked.!' Kyle chuckled to himself. He didn't believe his skill would have that much effect on one tailed foxes, because he imagined their will was strong. The system had boldly stated the skill will have effect on people whose will are lower than his, and it looked like these one tailed foxes will were lower than his.

"Are you ready to die?" Kyle asked with an insidious tone, activating dark flames skill as it burned in his hand.

"N-no please I don't want to die!" The foxman shakily begged Kyle for his life. Seeing this inhuman male, suddenly conjure the mysterious dark flames made his eyes go white. He knew it would all be over for him, as soon as the flames got in contact with his skin as there was no killing it.

'Oh!' Kyle was taken aback a bit, he didn't expect this foxman to suddenly beg for his life. Just a moment ago he was going to kill Kyle but now the tables had turned, and he was the one on his knees begging for his life.

"Are you sure you'll do anything?" Kyle softly whispered into his ears. Seeing Kyle offer him a chance at life, the foxman nodded his head rapidly.

"Very well then. all you have to do for me is to take me to where all your villagers are then I'll think of sparing your life." As soon as Kyle said those words, Felix eyes immediately went blank. For the price of sparing his life, he was asked to pay with the life of the villagers instead. It meant he would become a traitor, and a murderer. He saw flashes of the people he grew up with, ate with, and slept with, burning in the dark flames. Their screams were echoing in his ears, as he imagined this horrifying scene.

'Swoosh! clang!' On instincts, Kyle caught hold of a sword swung behind him to his head. The attacker tried to make a run for it, but Kyle slammed his foot into the ribs of the attacker breaking some bones in it.

"Ahh!" The foxman screamed in pain, falling to the ground blood seeping out his lips. Kyle could then see it the foxman that tried to stop Felix, he was impressed at how he suddenly found the courage to blindly attack him. But it was useless anyways, as a demon his instincts and hearing where far more sharper, so he'd already picked up this foxman presence before he attacked.

"You tried to kill me. Why?" Kyle wanted to know what his intentions were for attacking him, before he casted judgement upon him.

"W-why not! I tried to save my friend. You would've done the same for your kind." The foxman slowly said, coughing up fresh blood in the process. Kyle thought it was honourable what this foxman tried to do, but it didn't matter he was going to die anyways.

"What's your name?" Kyle asked, which caused the foxman to stare at him weirdly. He was already awaiting death, cause the battle had already been lost. They were caught off guard and something in the air was making them naustegic, that's why they were being killed like dogs.

'It's not working on him.' Right now Kyle's demon eyes skill was active, as he stared into the eyes of the bleeding foxman. He'd expected to get an answer immediately from the foxman, but it seems the latter will was higher than his as he couldn't control him with his mind.

He'd theorized that all one tail foxmen will were lower than his, since it had worked on Felix and the other foxmen on guard. But seeing it having no effect on this foxman, made him cancle that theory out from his mind.

"Just kill us already!" The foxman shouted, which made Kyle frown. He had just been rude to the person holding his life in his hands, and Kyle felt he had to be punished.

"Felix what's his name?"

"J-jerome master~" Felix blankly answered. his eyes were dull of life as he stared emotionless, his voice containing little to no life.

'Jerome huh!' Kyle inwardly chuckled, finding it weird that was the latter name.

"Y-you savage! you'll never get away with this! yo-" Kyle just turned a deaf ear to Jerome's cursing. He was hoping to keep Jerome alive for a while, as he still had some uses for him. but he was starting to get on Kyle's nerves, screaming uncontrollably like a lunatic.

"Felix! make him shut up." Kyle ordered as Felix then nodded, slowly picking up his dagger and walking to where Jerome was.

"F-felix it's me.. Jerome! Come on snap out of it! Felix!" Jerome seeing his companion tried to get into Felix's head, but no matter how hard or loud he screamed Felix wasn't listening, he was now under Kyle's control.

"Felix w-what are you doing.. wait! n-no!" Jerome screamed trying to crawl away from Felix, after his attempt to get to him was futile.

"M-aster said shut up." Felix plunged the dagger into the side of Jerome, causing the latter to scream in pain. But it didn't matter, Felix kept on stabbing him in different parts of his body drawing out more blood. Kyle seeing this made his grin grew wider, he'd always wanted to have a puppet that would obey his every command.

"N-no! get away from me!" Jerome screamed on top of his lungs, trying to shove Felix off from his body. His eyes were filled with tears as he saw his best friend stabbing him to death, memories of the times they'd together crossed his head.

If it weren't for the sudden appearance of this horrible presence, he and his friend would've continued living their normal lives. Living in the village with the other of their kinds, telling stories by the fire place until they fell asleep.

Tears strolled down his eyes, as he could feel all those memories slowly slipping away from him. He could feel his life fading from him and to make matters worse, it was his best friend who was taking it.

"You're the reason for all this monster! I hope you die! I-i hope your bones rot in hell!" Jerome cursed Kyle, taking his final breaths.

"Wait!" Kyle suddenly ordered, and Felix immediately stopped. getting up from Jerome's body, bowing his head down as Kyle walked past.

"You think am the only monster here? Well what about you. how many lives have you killed! how many beasts or humans have died by your blade!" Kyle yelled his aura bursting out, pinning Jerome to the floor more as he struggled to breath.

"We're all monsters in this world, it's just am the bigger monster than you." Kyle slightly chuckled getting up. He could see Jerome was still staring at him with wide eyes but he didn't care, he would do what needed to be done to survive.

"Since you're going to hell, why don't I show you a bit how how feels." Kyle coldly said and the next moment, dark flames formed on Kyle's palm as he threw it on Jerome's body. He watched with no emotions under Jerome's screams, as the dark flames burnt his body. It was as if they were eating his skin alive, and leaving only the skeleton of his body.

"You can come down now!" Kyle shouted to Elise, who was still on the tree branch. He had purposely told her to stay up there, as he wanted to first test out some things to make sure it was safe, before they finally moved on to the bigger face of the plan.

Elise then cast a wind spell, as her body slowly landed to the ground. Walking over to Kyle, there were different thoughts on her mind as she stared at him a bit weird.

"Those flames are really sick." Elise said to Kyle. She had been watching from above all this while, as Kyle had told her to wait. She wanted to help but he begged her not to, saying he wanted to test some things out first.

She wasn't quite sure letting him go in by himself but she still agreed, she was surprised at how he easily handled things down there. Her eyes didn't quickly spot the foxman that tried to attack Kyle, she wanted to attack when Kyle suddenly grabbed the weapon disarming him.

"Yeah I know.." Kyle softly chuckled with a smile. He could see Elise was still surprised at how dark flames worked, even he himself didn't fully understand it.

"Felix!" Kyle then called out to his newly acquired puppet.

"Yes master?" Felix bowed his head slightly, like a loyal dog.

"How many foxes exactly are living in your village?" Kyle asked, wanting to estimate the amount of people he'd kill to determine if he would level up his dark flames skill.

"About 600 master." Felix bowed which made Kyle's pupil broaden. 600 foxes! that was more than the required people, he had to kill with dark flames to level it up. The grin on his face couldn't be hidden, as he could sense it wouldn't be long before he levelled up dark flames.

"Good! are there any surprises I should know of?" Even though his head was screaming to go kill those foxes, he couldn't just go blind in there. First of all he wasn't alone as he was with one of his women, if they were to fall into an ambush they couldn't possibly help themselves. Second, he still wasn't strong enough to handle that much fox people, and his demon energy was relatively low. Thirdly, Elise also knew some skills but they were all weak, some not covering much distance that's why they were here to train.

"There aren't anything you should worry about master. Except for a dozen of two tailed foxes and two three tailed." Kyle's excitement dwindled a bit, and Elise could see it.

'A dozen of two tailed foxes and two three tails?' Kyle wasn't sure if he could handle a dozen of two tailed foxes, he could give it a chance if he transformed, but then the whole mission would be a failure as he was here to level up dark flames.

"Argh!" Kyle grunted, his mind was spinning trying to come up with an idea to make his plan workout.

'What to do..' kyle frowned pacing back and forth, trying to figure out a way out of this sudden roadblock. His head came up with an idea, but he quickly shrugged it off as it was a sucide attempt.

"Argh!" Kyle screamed a bit out of anger.

"Wait! what if-" an idea suddenly popped up in his head. he threw a dark flame at one of the foxmen a bit away from him, the foxman didn't dodge but just stood still like a statue. The flames connected melting his skin but Kyle didn't stop, kicking another to his body and immediately the other foxman body touched his it caught flames.

"Move apart from each other!" Kyle quickly ordered to which they obeyed, standing apart from each other. Kyle then repeated this process with the remaining foxmen, as he achieved the same resulted.

The flames burnt their skins entirely leaving only their bones, as they dropped dead to the ground. Kyle then checked his system, to see if it counted as kills for dark flames which it did!

[Number of people killed: 137/500]

"Hehe~ I think I may have found a way out." Kyle chuckled softly as a smile was planted on his face. He had finally found a way to increase the kills with dark flames, by also conserving his demon energy.
