HEATHER
"I'm having the fries and brownie. You?" I asked Dean who looked over at the food before picking up a barbeque sandwich and a mango juice.
"This is good." He said and we both walked over to our table and sat down, immediately moving into Jane and Matt's conversation.
"So did your brother agree?" Matt asked me when I had related the whole 'project' Roman had shared with me.
"Yeah. It was hard and he was skeptical at first but I convinced him. He's still skeptical but agreed nonetheless." I told them and just then the cafeteria's atmosphere shifted as I felt a kiss on the top of my head.
I smiled turning around to Alex's face, and gave him a fry.
"Thanks. Everything good?" He asked me taking the fry and I nodded.
"Is the meeting over? How'd it go?" I asked him.
"It went well. Hey I have to leave because I have a few meetings in an hour, but I'll see you tonight, yeah?" He said and I nodded.
"Alright. See you tonight. Bye." I said waving at him and he kissed my forehead, then turned to Dean.
"Take care of her." He said and I swatted his arm playfully.
"Will do." Dean replied and we looked at Alex's retreating figure.
"Your brother's cool. He cares a lot for you." Dean said and I nodded, munching my fries.
"Yeah he's always been like that." I said and we ate in silence until I felt a sudden tension in the air and everyone looked at me and the hand that was now placed on my shoulder, sending jolts of electricity through my body.
I looked at Jane who stared at me wide eyed, so I turned my head a bit to take a look at the hand.
Tattooed fingers, expensive watch and silver rings.
"Roman." I breathed out and felt his figure move behind me as the chair beside me was pulled out of its place and the hand on my shoulder was removed.
He pulled the chair incredibly close to mine and sat down on it, placing his leg over the other and leaning back, relaxing like he owned the place.
He did actually own it.
"Heather." He regarded me and his eyes went over my body slowly, his heated gaze burning holes in my clothes and making me hot and bothered.
His eyes came back to mine and he must have noticed the blush on my face because I saw the corner of his lips lift ever so slightly.
His gaze moved to the food in front of me and I figured he must he be hungry. I picked up a fry and offered it to him.
His gaze flicked to the fry and then to me, before he grabbed my hand with the fry and brought it closer to his mouth and leaned forward, putting the fry into his mouth, from my hands.
Oh god.
Everyone stared at us stunned and I looked at Roman in shock as he gestured to the plate. I averted my gaze and picked up another fry and dipped it in ketchup, handing it to him and he again ate from my hands.
Anyone looking at us would say I was feeding him but both of us knew very well what was happening.
I put the next fry in my own mouth after dipping it into ketchup and ate the the next few fries on my own, ignoring Roman completely.
As I was about to put another fry in my mouth, Roman suddenly leaned forward, too close to my face and a breath away from my lips that if I turned my head, my lips would touch his.
He grabbed the fry with his teeth and ate it quickly, but only moved back an inch or two, studying my face quietly.
I became very aware of everything happening around me, including my rapid heartbeat and his powerful manly scent and strong cologne.
I turned my head slowly, drowning in his beautiful green eyes as his fingers came up and brushed the side of my face, lightly cupping my cheek as he lifted my chin and wiped some ketchup from my bottom lip.
His breath fanned my face as he moved away and licked his finger with the ketchup on it. I bit my lip at this gesture and his eyes darkened as he glanced at my lips then my eyes.
What on earth is going on?
He cleared his throat and gestured towards the fries and I quickly shook my head, shoving all dirty thoughts from my mind as I continued giving him fries.
Now is not the time to fantasize.
I could hear the occasional whispering around us and glanced at my friends who didn't make eye contact with me, especially Dean. I frowned slightly when I looked at my now empty plate of fries.
"Do you want more?" Roman's voice snapped me out of my thoughts and all of my friends and I looked at him.
"Uh.. no, it's okay... I'll just eat the brownie." I said and picked my disposable spoon up, digging into the chocolate brownie.
I glanced at roman briefly and offered him a bite of the brownie from my spoon. He leaned forward and ate it silently.
I gulped and continued eating, occasionally offering him a bite or two, and he would take it every time.
When we were finished eating, I quickly wiped my mouth with a napkin so Roman wouldn't repeat the previous stunt again.
He grabbed the napkin from my hands and wiped his own face before throwing it away.
"When will you be free?" He asked me and I looked at him.
"Uh... 3 pm, and then I have to go somewhere." I said and he nodded, giving Dean a meaningful glance before standing up. I stood up too and faced him while he assessed the cafeteria.
His gaze landed on me and he came forward, leaving only an inch distance between us. He leaned forward towards my ear, grabbing my waist gently, his hot breath fanning my neck.
"Don't have too much fun on your little coffee date." He said huskily and briefly grazed his lips on the side of my cheek, close to my ear.
My breath hitched momentarily as he pulled away with a smirk, aware of his effect on me.
"Thanks for the food. I'll see you later princess." He said and left, his guards and Enzo following him close.
Princess.
I grabbed my plate and fetched more fries and plopped down on my seat, everyone's gaze following my every move as they observed me.
"What?" I snapped at my friends who had been staring at me for the past hour.
"What's going on Thea?" Jane asked me taking a hold of my hand as I popped multiple fries into my mouth.
"I don't know." I sighed and put my head on my palms, utterly confused and baffled at what just happened.
"Did something happen between you and Mr. Angelo?" Matt asked me but I shrugged.
"Nothing I know of. All I know I'll be redecorating his house." I said and they all nodded.
"We're still getting coffee today though, right?" Dean asked me and my mind wandered towards Roman's words.
"Don't have too much fun on your little coffee date."
I shook my head and gave Dean a smile. I was not going to let this affect me.
"Of course. I wouldn't miss it." I said and he sighed in relief.
"Good, I thought I'd lost my chance." He said chuckling and I smiled lightly, finishing the rest of my fries and heading to the next class.
This going to be hard.
