FAZIO HAD TO stop himself from laughing out loud, but watching Natalia struggle not to kill Marcus was the funniest thing he's seen in a long time. There was no way she would ever know who took Kayla and just as he predicted, she would automatically think it was Botticelli.
Everything was now falling into place; now all he had to do was whisper in Natalia's ear and she would do exactly what he wanted. Fazio could kill two birds with one stone. Natalia was hotheaded, she would shoot first and ask questions later, luckily for him the person she would shoot would be Lucian.
"Apologies," she said finally. "I meant no offense."
"Whatever," Marcus said. "Now get out."
"But Kayla—" she said frantically.
"I'll see what I can do," Marcus said his tone laced with finality. Turning brusquely, she stormed out the door, slamming it shut behind her.
"Did you have something to do with this?" Marcus asked turning to his brother directly.
Fazio scoffed. "Of course not, why would I?"
