Chapter 16

"I really don't know anything."

Said William helplessly.

Leila angrily picked up her phone and opened a video.

"Look at this!"

William went up and saw a surveillance video at the entrance of the bar. He could vaguely see the figures in the bar flickering and all kinds of things were smashed. After a while, he and his sister-in-law came out.

William's face darkened and thought to himself, 'I'm done.'.

"Where did you go with Rosa yesterday? As her brother-in-law, you are an elder anyway. How can you fool around with her?"

Then he threw out two photos, in which William came out of the bar with Mary.

Leila's voice was loud and it could be seen that she was furious.

In fact, Mary, who was upstairs, had been eavesdropping on the conversation between the two. When she heard this, she couldn't help but stop.

"It's not sister in law's fault. It's my fault."

As she spoke, she quickly walked down the stairs.

Leila was even more furious. She looked at Mary who just sat next to William and said angrily, "go to bed!"

Mary trembled slightly, but she didn't get up and leave.

"Okay, okay, you... You've really grown up. You don't even listen to me!"

Leila was so angry that her cold and calm attitude disappeared and her words were incoherent.

Looking at the angry Leila, William knew that he couldn't hide it anymore.

"Well, it's not as complicated as you think."

William began to talk about it slowly. He ignored the dangerous scene when he held his sister-in-law in his arms, and directly said it was a confrontation. As for Mack, he was said to be a good friend of his hometown. He happened to have a grudge with the bar owner, so he came to take revenge on him and his sister-in-law.

So he and his sister-in-law left with his help. Later, he didn't know what happened between the bar owner and Mack.

After the whole thing, it seemed that William just helped Mary out of kindness.

And his sister-in-law didn't interrupt.

After listening to William's whole set of explanation, Leila's face softened a lot.

"Alice, is he telling the truth?"

"Yes, what brother-in-law said is true. It's my fault."

Leila glared at her sister and told her not to go to that kind of place again. She even coldly told William not to contact Zack anymore, or she wouldn't have to wait for a month and go through the divorce procedures tomorrow.

William and Mary agreed without hesitation.

But then Leila asked what the two of them did tonight and why they came back so late.

As soon as she heard her words, her sister-in-law, Mary, became angry. She told her what had happened tonight and kept saying that her sister was cold-blooded and didn't give money. Was she her own sister or not.

It was Leila who had taught her a lesson, but now she was talking about her sister in turn.

Leila kept comforting her sister, and finally gave her millions of pocket money to shut Mary up.

Even so, Leila still had a lot of doubts in her heart. Why did one of William's brothers was a rascal and had such a powerful force? When did he come to revenge on the bar boss and rescue the two people.

And how did he know the chairman of the Hua group?

The more she thought about it, the more confused Leila became. She found that this man seemed to have many secrets that she didn't know.

To Leila's surprise, on the night when he first came to the villa, his sister seemed to be very resistant to him. How could these two people be like this in just a few days?

During the conversation just now, Leila found that her sister had released William on purpose more than once.

With so many doubts in her arms, she went upstairs with her sister.

Looking at the natural smile on Alice's face, Leila had a bad feeling.

She shook her head suddenly.

What was she thinking about? It was impossible.

On the second morning, Leila didn't go to work as usual, but stayed in the villa.

Outside the villa, all the staff and cleaners in the garden area began to move, including carrying all kinds of decorations, cleaning, and hanging some lanterns.

At noon,Zachary, Leila's father-in-law, and several uncles who often left the zone, also came back.

Not only that, his uncles, who he seldom met, also came back from the capital.

Confused, he asked Mary about it and knew that the old master of the Ji family in the capital city was going to visit the garden.

William went back to the villa with his sister-in-law to watch the soap opera with tiredness.

He didn't connect the old master of the Ji family with Connor at all, nor did he realize that the elder brother he had saved was old master Ji.

After all, the person who could make the whole Zhao clan host such a big banquet was probably the kind of person who could block half the sky.

One day passed like this. At night, the whole park was filled with beautiful decorated lanterns, and ribbons.

And the Zhao family, who had come back at the same time for many years, also gathered together for dinner.

They talked about business while eating.

William and her sister-in-law sat at the table, saying nothing. They just ate.

The situation was somewhat embarrassing, but it could only be like this.

William and his uncles were not familiar with each other at all and could not say anything, let alone the elders.

When the dinner was almost over, William's nominal father-in-law,Zachary, looked at him.

"William, I heard that you have recovered well?"

William nodded.

"Not bad."

"She told me about Leila and you. It is said that you will divorce in a month. And I also think you are not suitable for each other. Don't blame me for not stopping Leila."

"How could it be? I have freedom in love."

Zachary nodded, his face full of memory.

"Yes, the times are different."

Then he added, "by the way, how is your father? Is he still cultivating alone in his hometown?"

William nodded.

"My father is in good health. He is still planting."

Jerry sighed deeply.

"What a pity! That was a big blow to him. If he had stayed in the capital all the time, he would have made a big mistake now."

Hearing his father-in-law's words, William was confused. Why was his father still a great man back then? It seemed that her father had been the only one who had pulled her up from childhood to adulthood. If she hadn't studied hard and gone to college, she wouldn't have left any countryside for the rest of her life.

"What happened that year? My father was also hit?"

William asked.

Looking at him,Zachary smiled and shook his head, saying nothing more.
