The Less Fortunate Ones

Chapter 11

Judging by the kid’s voice, he’s a boy. Suddenly, I could hear his footsteps getting louder and louder which meant that he was getting closer and closer. I felt happy knowing that there is another survivor who was able to make it out alive. I wonder if he’s alone or if he had someone with him. “I have a gun,” he threatened. “Who are you? Are you a monster or are you still normal?! Answer me or I’ll shoot!” Since when was a kid allowed to hold a gun? Wasn’t that forbidden?

“Whoa, chill! I am perfectly normal. You don’t have to worry about it,” I assured him. “Who are you and why are you here?” I asked back. “And more importantly, how the hell did you manage walking in the dark, and are you really allowed to hold a gun?”
