John and Mary walk up to their kids after their brief reintroduction, but Sam isn't paying attention. They don't mind; they can talk to Dean for now.
"Benny, these are my parents. Mom and Dad, this is Benny," he says briefly.
John sticks out a hand for Benny to shake, and he takes it. Instantly, John drops it, in high alert.
"Dad, relax," Dean commands him, though he never would have spoken to his father this way before.
"Vampire," John hisses.
Benny just nods.
"But he's also my friend, so don't kill him," Dean adds.
"You're with a ?" John demands, outraged.
Dean nods, refusing to let his father intimidate him. "Yes, I am. Times have changed a lot in the last ten years, Dad. You better get used to it."
"I don't care what's changed," John replies angrily. "He's a monster, plain and simple."
"And if it wasn't for this 'monster,' I'd be lying dead in Purgatory," Dean counters.
"You watch your tone with me," John growls.
"Or what?" Dean asks, smirking. "I've literally got God making sure you can't kill me. What are you going to do to me?"
"You know perfectly well that I can do a lot without killing you," John tells him.
"What do you mean, he knows perfectly well?" Mary asks cautiously.
"You know exactly what it means," Dean replies, trying to push memories of his painful childhood aside.
"John, you didn't..." Mary says in a shocked voice.
"Well..." John says awkwardly, knowing he's caught.
"But that's all over, and let's get back to being one big happy family, 'kay?" Dean suggests, wanting to play the peacemaker he's always been.
"You're joking," Mary replies. "You're expecting me to just ignore the fact that he-"
"Yes, I am," Dean interrupts. "I'm over it. I'm sure Sam is over it. As long as it doesn't happen again, no need to worry about it, 'kay?"
"Knowing Sam, I highly doubt he'll ever be over it," John replies.
The three of them glance over at the youngest Winchester, and it's immediately clear that both John and Dean have to smack some sense into him.

"After Chuck told us how long I'd been dead, I was afraid you would have moved on," Gabriel admits.
Sam shakes his head. "I tried to," he replies. "But it didn't work out. All I could think about was you."
"That was so cheesy," he says with a smirk.
"Then I guess I'm made of cheese, 'cause that's just me being me."
Gabriel laughs. "You know one thing you and cheese have in common?"
"What's that?" Sam asks, honestly unsure where the angel is going with this.
"You both taste delicious."
Sam can't help but laugh at that. "Now who's the cheesy one?"
"Okay, but I the cheesy lifestyle."
Sam rolls his eyes. "Yeah, you do."
Gabriel playfully slaps Sam on the shoulder. "Hey!"
Sam puts a hand on his shoulder as he says, "I think you forgot how strong you are."
"Want me to kiss it and make it feel better?" Gabriel offers.
"I have somewhere else in mind for you to kiss," Sam replies flirtatiously.
"Wow, Sam, public nudity?" Gabriel teases.
"We're not in public," Sam reminds him. "But I was thinking something along the lines of this."
He presses his lips against Gabriel's, the familiar feel of the boy making him melt on the inside. This is what he's been waiting for for the last six years. This is what he's been missing, and it was worth every second of the wait to finally be back with his angel.
"Sam Winchester, what the hell are you doing?" John and Dean both yell at once.
Instantly, Sam pulls away. He had forgotten there were other people in the room. It's clear those two are pissed, but everyone else looks indifferent. Well, not Charlie. She looks like she's about to explode from excitement.
"He's being ador-" Gabriel begins.
"Gabe, shut up," Sam interrupts, knowing he'll only make things worse.
"That was mean!" Gabriel whines.
"Fine. Gabe, shut up."
"Mm... Nope!" Gabriel replies, popping the "p" at the end.
"'Gabe'?" Dean repeats. "You've got nicknames now?"
"Of course!" Gabriel replies, throwing his arm around Sam as he says, "Samwich and I-"
"Seriously, Gabe, shut up," Sam interrupts again.
"Who the hell is this?" John demands.
"This is-"
