"Gabriel's being too relaxed about things," Chuck observes in dismay, making a mental note to try to tip him over the edge one of these days.
"Especially because he's the baby of the archangels," Amara adds.
"Not that you would have guessed that with Lucifer here," Chuck mutters.
"He makes things interesting," Amara says simply.
"And I'm sure that Jo would agree," Chuck says sarcastically.
"She's fine now," Amara reminds him.
"I know, but the amount of pain she must have been in... He shattered every single one of her bones into pieces so small, you could barely see them with the naked eye."
"She's ," Amara repeats. "But what's up with that Adam guy? Why didn't you fix him like you did to Michael?"
Chuck shrugs. "Forgot."
"And are you going to?" Amara asks.
"Nope," Chuck replies, popping the p. "I don't think he needs me to get back to normal. He'll never be the same, but he might be better."
Amara looks at him skeptically, but she doesn't bother asking what he means. He works in mysterious ways, and Amara has given up asking about them.
