Chapter 181 - Leviathan's Attack Plan

It is late in the evening, and Lillian is sitting in her room, reading a book, all while she casually eats a lovely lamb dinner that Leviathan has prepared for her. Lillian must admit, Leviathan might be an evil shadow organisation, but they do have some good cooks. The food is absolutely divine.

"Do you have a moment?" Talia says, having just entered Lillian's room.

"Of course." Lillian says, as she swallows her food, and places her book down on the table next to her.

Talia walks over to Lillian and takes a seat facing her. The Leviathan leader than notices that Lillian is drinking some wine, so she decides to pour herself a glass, into the spare wine glass on the table.

"Hmmm.... This is a delightful vintage." Talia hums, as she sips her wine.

"You have an interest in wines?" Lillian asks.

"You could say so." Talia says, "When I was younger..... much younger than I am now..... I did some exploring of the world, when it was young. In my years of exploration one of the things I loved to try from each country I visited, was all their different wines. Some might find it ridiculous, but you can taste the difference in the wine depending on the country the grapes are grown in, which is thanks to the amounts of sun and water the grapes receive each year, as well as the soils."

"You sound like quite the connoisseur." Lillian comments.

Talia scoffs.

"I was." Talia says, taking another sip of wine, "I even wanted to buy my own vineyard, and start my own wine business."

"Why didn't you?" Lillian asks.

Talia chuckles.

"My father had other ideas. He wished for me to follow in his footsteps. At least..... that is what he wanted me to believe." Talia says.

Lillian is surprised about Talia mentioning her father, as the Leviathan leader has never mentioned him to her before. However, Lillian keeps her expression neutral, not wanting to give away any of her emotions.

"My father was the founder of this organisation." Talia continues, "He built it from the ground up. I know you have wondered whether I am human or alien, or something else entirely. But the honest answer is I'm not sure. My father claimed that he landed here on Earth, from somewhere beyond the stars, but my father was never a truthful man. All I know is that thanks to my father's discoveries, and his creation of this organisation, myself and my sister have our long lives, just as he did."

"What happened to him?" Lillian asks.

Talia scoffs again, and looks Lillian in the eyes for a few moments, before then downing the remainder of wine.

"I killed him." Talia says.

Lillian can't help but show a surprised expression on her face this time, even if she knows she should have been expecting such an answer. Honestly, Lillian just didn't expect Talia to admit to something like that.

"My father, he claimed that I was his heir, and when the time was right, I would take over Leviathan from him. But that time never came. He just liked to use me as his little puppet, to do as he said, and pretend to love me. Meanwhile, I could see how his mind had lost the focus as to what Leviathan was meant to be. He began exposing himself. He made his existence known to key figures around the world. He stirred up wars when they weren't needed, all for his own entertainment. So, eventually, a day came where I laid down my sword in front of my father, and I challenged him. A fight to the death. His response was to laugh at me. But he wasn't laughing a few minutes later, when I beat him, and sunk my sword straight through his heart." Talia says, now growing a sneer on her face.

"Why are you telling me this?" Lillian asks, now realising that there must be a reason as to why the Leviathan leader is telling her this story.

"Because, killing a parent is one thing, but killing a child is another. Tomorrow, we go to war with Supergirl, her friends, and your adopted daughter. There WILL be causalities. I need to make sure you are ready to do what needs to be done." Talia says.

Lillian stills for a few moments, closes her eyes, takes a deep breath, and then turns to look at Talia, right in the leader's eyes.

"I am ready. Lena betrayed me, and everything that Luthor's stand for. She is a disgrace to the Luthor name, and is dragging it through the mud. She needs to pay for what she has done, and her dear disgusting kryptonian girlfriend too." Lillian says, even though on the inside she feels absolutely sick saying these words.

After Lillian says this, Talia simply looks at the Luthor matriarch for a few moments, not saying a word.

"Good." Talia says, "Tomorrow you will be coming with me. We will strike the DEO directly. I'll need your knowledge to guide us through the layout, which I'm sure you are familiar with."

"Yes, I am." Lillian replies.

"Excellent. Our attack begins at dawn." Talia smirks.

Kara, Alura and Morgan are now back at home, and the blonde superhero has managed to actually cook her daughters a nice healthy dinner, containing some pasta, chicken, tomato sauce, chorizo chunks, and some herbs. Kara is pretty proud of herself, as this is certainly not something she was very adept at, even a year ago. Kara thinks it's Lena rubbing off on her.

After Kara, Alura and Morgan ate their dinner, the trio sat cuddled on the couch together, watching a nice Disney movie that Alura wanted to show Morgan, who obviously hasn't seen any of them. Then a few hours later, once Morgan and Alura were beginning to fall asleep, Kara put her two girls to bed, giving them good night kisses, and tucking them in.

Presently, Kara is sitting on her couch, watching some TV, and just waiting up for Lena to return. However, Kara is soon interrupted by her phone ringing. In response to this, Kara picks up her phone and sees that it's from an unknown caller. Kara decides to answer it anyway, just in case.

"Hello?" Kara answers.

"Good. Kara." Lillian replies, with a sound of relief in her voice.

"Lillian?" Kara replies, confused.

"Yes. Look. I can't talk long. I tried to call Lena, but she didn't answer." Lillian says.

"Lena's in business meetings." Kara explains.

"Right. Well, I need to tell you, Leviathan is on the move. Tomorrow, at dawn, they are going to attack the DEO, and they are bringing me there too." Lillian explains.

"What..... why?" Kara asks.

"I don't know. I don't know more. But..... just be ready. I can't speak more. I have to go." Lillian says.

The call then ends.

"Lillian? Lillian?" Kara calls out, but there is no response, because the call has ended.

Kara looks at her phone, sees that the call has ended, and now begins to worry, very much, for so many reasons.

"Oh Rao." Kara says, and then grabs her phone to call Alex.

Meanwhile, back at the Leviathan base, Talia is just leaving a secret spot which allows her to spy on Lillian's room. Talia knew that bugging Lillian's room would be stupid, because she expected the Luthor matriarch to find any bugs, because she knows how smart she is. So instead of doing that, Talia decided to use more traditional methods of spying. The methods that many see in horror movies, or comedies, small peepholes in paintings, amongst other things. In this case, these methods have allowed Talia to listen in on Lillian's room, and overhear the phone conversation that the Luthor just made. The call went just as Talia had planned it to go. Talia wanted Lillian to phone someone and warn them about the attack on the DEO, because that is not their true focus. Their focus will be elsewhere.
