CHAPTER FORTY-SIX

Stepping in through the vault's entrance, she almost slumped to the floor. There were thousands of folders, and boxes neatly arranged on two long shelves, one to the right and the other to the left.

Natasha dropped everything she came with and began to trail her hands along the rails of both shelves. There were so many labels on them; case 1234, accident, the Dubai trip, and so on. Her mind pondered why Lorenzo entrusted her with the cleaning out of the blue. Was it a test?

Exhaling, she began to dust the boxes while skillfully skimming through the papers. She did the same thing with the folders. There was no useful information in them. Just a number of scrappy documents that only makes sense to a business person.

Natasha cleaned and cleaned until her bones ached. All the computers in the vault were locked with a password. She just went ahead to try all her skills to see if she could crack one but to no avail.
